This production was submitted by STELCO to Television Maldives Drama Competition in the year 2000.
17 years ago the first 60 seconds of this song was chopped by TVM censorship. The so-called reason was showing someone on the verge of committing suicide. Unfortunately, one individual chose to overlook the fact, what stopped the main protagonist taking the plunge.
I believe the sound of Azan and the act of withdrawal was one of the strongest messages ever delivered both psychologically and spiritually in a local production.
Even today I believe the individual who censored HULHUKOLHU drama tried his best to sabotage it. He deliberately tried to help another entry to win the competition.
