Don't hate yourself. Forgive yourself. Take it as a lesson learned. I was a little gang banger when I was younger, too. Don't let your past define you. Your past made you who you are today. Strong. Resilient. Kind. It's time to let go. It's ok to forgive yourself. Trust God and let go.
First stop bothering your ex and friend. Second, forgive yourself and focus on your current relationship. What has happened you can never change but only change your future for the best.
