TRIP REPORT | Aer Lingus A330-300 | Dublin to Toronto | ECONOMY CLASS [Full HD]

- Trip Report of my Aer Lingus Airbus A330-300 Long-haul flight from Dublin Airport to Toronto Pearson Intl. Airport (YYZ) in Economy Class. The flight departed from Dublin with a delay of 1,5 hours due to a small technical problem which was fixed while we waited onboard the aircraft. Apart from the Inflight Entertainment System which didn't work for me (no sound) the flight was very enjoyable. There were 2 free meal services on this 7 hour and 30 minute flight across the atlantic ocean towards Canada. My seat for the wing view was 44A almost in the back of the Aer Lingus Airbus A330-300 aircraft.

that 7hr 20 min flight lasted 10 min 50 sec. i calculated it. wow! thats great fuel savings...lol...excellent trip report. now we know the lingo on lingus...

Nice flight for Aer Lingus, but that was funny when the baby started crying and the video said enjoy your flight lol.....Weird also that the IFE stopped working, thats unusual

Nice report! Shame about the IFE, assume it worked in the seat next to you which was empty so you can have watched something in that seat and still had the window? Either way the A330 fleet is being refit with new screens this winter, to match the newer aircraft!

Yes the old Aer Lingus IFE systems are very poor and not very responsive. However the newer ones are very responsive and easy to use so they have fortunately fixed the problem.

Literally playing Airport Madness 4 in flight 😁. I was playing Infinite Flight during my long haul flight
I was doing the same until that update came out where you need to be connected to the internet at all times...

sit back, relax and enjoy the screaming XD hahahaha sadly i had this on my own for 9 hours from Miami to Berlin. aditional to a fat guy using the half of my seat and no headphones because the airline catering forgot it. thx again swiss air :)
The IFE problem happened to me to. Chicago to Dublin, 7+ hrs of just looking at the back of a seat.

Did you not complain about having no sound? Was flight full, could you have been moved to another seat?

You made a point of the flight arriving late well if you don't like delays just don't fly.

It is a economy seat leg room on any plane is going to be limited on less u pay more you of all people should know this

2 Baby's screeming, What a joy!
I it once on a KLM-747, an unresponsive IFE, I don't know if it was because I am a Flying Blue member, but KLM gave me 125 Euro's to compensate, without me asking. When I got home I got a message from them. It was funny enough also during a flight to Toronto.

I believe parents with babies should have no choice but to sit at the back. It means that people won't be disturbed.
Sorry about the inoperable IFE and technical delays otherwise the service looked fairly OK.

Jeepers D, you do get around. Do you travel for a living? Myself, if I had the money, I would travel to ireland, Israel and Romania.

Just a thought, but if you flew from Berlin first, wouldn't you have been better off flying Virgin from Heathrow? Their service is top notch and even the economy class food is pretty good!

Are Lingus does a great job, Ive only ever flown Aeroflot, British Airways and American Airlines across the Atlantic . BA was great, the staff were very down to earth and warm. AA was to be honest awful! Aeroflot was okay, basically because it seemed staff had very little to no English. Are Lingus could expect its cabin crew to be a bit more friendly.
Mark Evans I pretty much only fly American, I fly fra-dfw a lot and I really don't get what people have against aa.
Their staff was almost always nice the service was good and consistent. (And they often give me free booze :))
looked like u had enough room, did u feel cramped? I,d go for a side seat instead of being cramped in the middle. Usually u get stuck beside a drunk.
well it is economy. not luxury but ok.
I was traveling with my dad and since there are 2-4-2 seats in the back he only had to get up when i wanted out. huge plus for the A330 or 767!

What is Aer Lingus thinking when they not only touched that magnificent livery but went out and destroyed it! Things must be really getting bad there for them to do that!

No. If you pay attention to the details they are different in many cases. Also I had broken tables (RYR, BA)

Watchin this as I'll be flying with this air craft to malaga in May and when you basically complained about the baby screaming is why I'm so nervous to fly with my son who will be 11 months because of people like you ! This will be my first time flying with him I don't understand why people get so annoyed by babies having a little cry! It's normal. People should seriously have some understanding! It's very hard for the parents.. just because people have a problem with babies on planes will not stop me from bringing my son on holidays..

I can totally understand it - and of course it is normal because the ears of the babies don't yet adjust so well to the presure differences during the flight.
I am totally understanding but it is annoying sometimes - but there aren't going to be many actually saying something (to you). You should be fine.
Leave your crying screaming babies at home. People are on holidays its not fair for us to listen to your kid screaming at the top of his lungs. Stay at home.

Poor people with celiac disease on that flight... ALL the food contained gluten! Shame on you Aer Lingus. :-)
+djorgen ?? That is pretty normal - but you had the possibility to pre-order a gluten free choice online up to 72hrs before the flight if you didn't know this...
As an Irish person, Aer Lingus is probably the worse airline for me.

Nitpicking for the sake of something to say is not good reporting: Some examples:
A baby crying? SO WHAT? T'wud be worse if (s)he couldn't,
2-hour delay to ensure a fully functional aircraft? EH? Safety first!
I could go on but you just make me feel tired.
