I hesitated before I wrote this comment because I hate to be critical.
I have listened through a few of your sermons, because I wanted to recommend your church to my son who moved to Denver a few years ago.
He was raised in a church of the Nazarene, but at 32, He’s kind of left the faith.
I think it’s been difficult for him and other young people to see supposedly Christians following political figures like Donald Trump.
This is the critical part… In so many of your sermons you seem to Be preaching along with normal enthusiasm but then you tend to end with all the yelling, jumping, etc.
I understand it’s probably just your personal style, but do you think you could tone it down a little just because there’s a lot of people that feel very uncomfortable with that type of preaching.
I don’t blame you if you just say, well, tell your son to go somewhere else.
He also just got engaged and his fiancé didn’t grow up in the church, and most likely would not feel comfortable with yelling and the screaming.
Please, if you could just take my unsolicited advice and realize would probably reach more new people if you just did your sermons in a calm way, like Jesus would’ve.
Sorry, I really didn’t want to offend, but I’m just so frustrated trying to find a church that truly believes, but is not overboard with emotionalism.
