In these systems, you have to play a3 instead of Be2 to avoid the Bb4 tricky lines.
Agad is good comentator he knows all openings, defenses , main lines and all that but as a player he got anihilated like a rookie.

When playing higher rated opponents, trade everything down to clear the board and keep the game simple. Especially do not allow higher rated opponents to have a bishop pair.

Too much time deciding to capture his Bishop or do something else with yours I think that threw you off you could’ve just backed the bishop up and defended the pawn he wanted to attack with his knight your opponent played strong at first but after forking your rook didn’t do much if anything you were the one making progress but he pretty much had the game in hand by than unless he blundered funny that you said you weren’t going to take a lot of time on moves than get stuck with the Bishop Thanks for the Game better luck in future enjoy your day
Sometimes you just start another game. To continue lost game is a waste of time.
I know some people like persevering but I don't see any fun in playing on in dead lost positions. True, one can often get a swindle but the chances are low at this level with so much time left

Yes you should trade that lone bishop for the knight. A lone knight is typically more versatile than a lone bishop. Keeping your lone knight against opponent's lone bishop is a positive for you.
