Lovely. Spent two weeks in 1965 in Polruan with my fiance ( wife of 54 years now ) and family. Rained for nearly two weeks! However we both already loved Cornwall having been on holiday individually for many years. Lucky to have now lived in the Duchy for nearly 40 years.
Loved this sweet little film. It made me quite nostalgic, although I probably wasn’t even born when this was made ( well, maybe just about!) Gentler times. The music was perfect. Thank you.
I was born and bred in Fowey, I lived there for 40 yrs, But I have lived in Exeter for the past 10 yrs. It's great to look back and see what life was like " Back In The Day"
I spent a fortnight with my parents and their friends in one of the houses backing onto the river at 2:26 in the summer of 1961, so around the time this film was shot. Amazing to see it captured like this.
@@JHDC1959 Hi. Hockens Lane. I don't remember the number. It was a lovely place to grow up as a young child. Running around 'Peak', the ruin of the chapel, the small safe beaches. Idyllic really!
My home town - I left in late 1970s.

Hi Geoff, I've just emailed you about this lovely clip!
I have sent a reply to your email.
Lovely. I spent my formative years in Polruan, opposite Fowey.
Celtic Whisper me too. 1970s
@@JHDC1959 Oh really. It was until 1976 that I lived there.

Lovely, thanks Geoff.
Lovely video but unfortunately spoiled by the oversized water marks in the centre and top right corner.
Alas I see when the camera pans that the ship, Tomas Ruiz de Velasco From Bilbao was scrapped at El Pireo, Greece in 1984.
