These really aren't meant for measuring such small distances exactly for the reasons you mentioned. Can you test it's accuracy on lengths of 3, 5, 10 and maybe 20 meters?
Hi, you're right.... 😁 the problem I had is that normally record at night, I have a day job and it was really hard with everybody sleeping inhouse and night outside to be moving around. Future videos will have to be more creative and get the time to record during the day. After the video release, I did use it on my backyard and it seemed very precise still. Had to get my 15mts measuring tape to confirm, is harder to go to the mm, but it was fairly accurate. Thanks for watching.
@@TechCornerTV Fair enough. At this point you also have to also ask yourself - how accurate is your 15m tape measure. 15 meters is 15 meters, but up to 1 mm? I don't know if they are produced with that accuracy and even if they are, at 15m I imagine temperature itself is able affect the tape by 1mm. So if the laser is off by 2-3mm at 15m I think that is awesome. It's worse if it's off by 5-10cm though ;)
