On February 10th, the ‘DOWNTEMPO II’ EP will be out on Dogfight Records. Released together with a livestream filmed at Amsterdam’s iconic NDSM venue, Mad Dog will showcase an immense live-act which contains part of His personal studio.
The EP itself contains four brand-new slow Hardcore bangers that will take you out of your everyday grind and mentally transport you to a deep dark underground rave. With surgical precision, Mad Dog has captured the spirit of hardcore in “Energy 1996”, “The Realness” with Promo, “You Still Don’t Belong” and “Time”. All four tracks are unique in their own nature and when listened to in chronological order, are a dramatic multisensory journey.

Thank you Mad Dog for showing the scene that Uptempo is NOT the tempo. I love all styles of Hardcore, but sometimes there are tracks which pushes the "evolution" of Hardcore forward (for me Rewind as an example). This is Hardcore from the past and also from the future! I love this new level, this is Artcore as Ruffneck it would maybe describe it.

Everyone bar Ophidian sold out to Uptempo.The sellout Kings of Hardcore.Downtempo Wtf is that lol? Maybe it's called Industrial Hardcore which has been around forever.
After watching the video i can say that Filippo has exceeded my expectations,since once again he has shown his passion for hardcore, a great legendary warrior who deserves all the respect and admiration from everyone and a great example for the new generation to follow ,Although I can also assume that there will be future collaborations, I only hope that they will be epic and very serious collaborations because Filippo is a man who takes his productions very seriously.

@@stewartclark8760 100%. So many genres of hardcore have gone way off track and lost that flow and energy that was there in the mid-late 90's. The heavy kicks, hi hats, snares and rolling bass is just so nice to hear again. I love all kinds of hardcore, but so much newer stuff has no heart in it's production, to me it is just distorted kicks, may be a few screeches and nothing else. A lot of times i think i am listening to a sample pack with how many kicks are being used in a track.....lol, plus the constant stop starting is getting annoying and the double drops that take a week to kick back in, get on my nerves
@@stalk05 absolutely. Love my 90s but my favourite is that 2001 to like 2012 period. Loads of different style kicks bpms and sound designs. So fucking good to hear new stuff sounding pounding instead of a clattering noise of shit

I don't know much about all those electronic devices you had there but that's something completely different. More than just 2 jogwheels like normal. Kind of reminds me of Paul Kalkbrenner who also doesn't play on a standard pioneer table. I really enjoyed watching the set because you rarely see such a setup.

This is more on the production side of things. You would see this equipment in the studio to actually write the songs, compared to the 2 turntables you would usually see when the songs already complete and the DJ and mixing and mashing those songs. :)
Hardcore needs reset and this speed is perfect! Hate its getting called Downtempo though just call it Hardcore or Gabber
