David, happy to see that you are finally doing different food content than indian food. Havent seen your vids in awhile. Thanks for the great food/travel content.
Yessssss this is my dream as I'm half Lebanese and my family has always cooked Lebanese food so eating it in Lebanon is something that I plan on doing for sure!! I hope you had a wonderful time and of course enjoyed all of the amazing food there!!
My ancestors told me how beautiful the Old Country was. You certainly displayed it! Snow! And the Kibbeh was insane.I know a couple of those renditions. In Louisville, KY 1890 we did the best that we could with the food! Kibbeh made out of ground round steak. Thank you for this video!
I enjoy watching spring water and the cafe, ooh looks so chill and comfy.. good to know you arent experiencing snow as frequent makes this trip are special
I flatten the kibbeh out on my plate and then add salt, cumin, aleppo pepper, and olive oil over the top before going in with some pita. A true delicacy.
David: this was awesome. But one thing: you are reminding me of what's to come weatherwise: winter and snow. Next time you travel in those months always carry boots, jacket, gloves and scarf and a toque. If you wear running shoes, put your feet in plastic bags beforehand so that if the slush and water soak through you feet will stay dry, and carry an extra pair of socks too. Those places you visited are BEAUTIFUL and the scenery is breathtaking. But you AIN'T gonna get me to eat raw meat of any kind: no siree Bob, no way and thank God I don't eat animal meat. Better you than me. Oh, by the way, I love how thin the pita bread is unlike what we get in North America. How about your host/guide eh, handsome guy😊. I am enjoying this series as well because I love the simplicity. 🙏🕊️🇹🇹🇨🇦
I don't think it's corn @6:14 it's al tramuz, or altramuces, it's the seed of the sweet lupine. It's called different things in different countries. Lupino in Italian i believe. It's very high in protein, around 35 to 40% protein in dried form. In Spain it is a tapa, usually together with olives.
My Canadian neighbor said the same haha when he tried it He kept asking me for haha One day he came with the meat asking me to so for his family I refused because u cant use a grocery meat
U know that whatvu see in the video its not the Lebanese cuisine Thats was we call fast food Some food are mezzeh Some are Restaurant food And then u have tabekh mean cooking ( these kind of food are just made at home) Lebanese cuisine is so large for a small country its one of the largest and each ear does the same dish diffrently with their twist Just the grappes leaves we have more than 10 ways to do them
Y Thakur: I hope you realize that there are other people in the world who want to see other countries' foods and culture. David Is not only about food but the history and culture as well.
@@ythakur4654 Thank you. Isn't it nice to see other places that you probably wouldn't get a chance to visit and you are seeing them through David's videos? I just want to be fair to everybody. Don't want anyone getting left out because everyone else and their counties are important too. Look at it this way: there is so much to learn about other peoples' customs and culture. By the way, I am half East Indian on my mother's side so I understand your passion for your country and food. So let's just give everybody else a fair chance to see their country and food and everything else showcased and maybe David would revisit India someday 🕊️🇹🇹🇨🇦

innergy111: I didn't think it looked like corn either. It was round in shape.
Kibbe Nayye is made with lamb not beef.
Do you like Georgia🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪

I respect the culture but I do not think I could attempt to eat raw meat without throwing up
Yeah I'm Lebanese and could never eat this.
trust me it’s really good
@@ألفومية-ح5ك 😂
Try it and you will change your mind...because all the spices they put in the meat, you don't taste the raw meat anymore...it is really delicious.
