23:30 Also her power is that she is immune to Lucifer's mojo, he can't get her desire and of top of that she is immune to his charms, every woman that we met apart from Chloe was vunreble from that. I'm sure you remember how Linda first acted, it wasn't that she was attracted to him but she literally couldn't handle herself, she was acting crazy.
Great reaction! Hades was the God of the underworld and upon seeing Persephone, he fell in love with her. She was hungry and he gave her one pomegranate seed to appease her hunger. It was a trick though because anyone who eats food from Hades has to stay in the Underworld with him. Then she was stuck there. That is the basis anyway!
Hades offered Persephone a pomegranate. She ate 6 seeds, and as a result, had to return to the Underworld for six months every year. This was how the ancient Greeks explained the changing seasons. While Persephone was with Hades, her mother, Gaia, turned her back to the world, causing winter.
I would like to go back to some phrases said in S1. in the pilot Lucifer asked chloe (outside Linda's office) "Did my father send you?"; in the episode "Priest walks into a bar" father Frank said "God has a plan" ... "how do you know he finished it?" There is an additional detail that you are forgetting besides the fact that Lucifer is vulnerable around chloe, and it is the fact that she is immune to Lucifer's mojo, and this detail was what originally drawn Lucifer towards chloe, because it was the first time in Lucifer's existence that a human was immune to his mojo. Mum is just guessing, as you said she spent the last thousand years in hell, she has no way of knowing what God's intentions were 35 years ago when creating Chloe.
Well done Ladies you guys are on a roll with episodes! I am not going to spoil anything I will just say that your theories are interesting will be interested to see how you guys react when they lay everything out throughout the rest of the show.
Your discussions about the episodes are so much fun. Carly's reaction was mine when I first saw this episode. Lucifer only decided to leave hell five years before we meet him. But God gave Chloe's parents the miracle that allowed her to be born 35 years ago. So that means God foresaw everything that would happen in Lucifer's life, including meeting Chloe. ???? And if so, what does that mean? This show is a lot of fun to watch episode by episode, but larger questions like that, which transcend just one or two episodes, are so much fun to think about.
I like your reactions and I can't wait for you to watch the next episodes. You're right, this is just a piece of a greater puzzle that's gonna be revealed on the way and through the next seasons. It's gonna get crazy but yes, God has a plan!
Pomegranates are actually believed to be the actual fruit of the tree of good and evil, it's reference in Greek mythology of Hades and Persephone is that after eating six seeds from the fruit it was decided that that was the amount of time in months that she would stay with Hades, some versions say Hades gave her the fruit, others a boy tricked her into eating it as revenge on Demeter for causing his death.
You ladies are by far my favorite Lucifer reactors! Your discussions are so exciting to follow, your theories are extremely good. Well done!!! The next 3 ep, arch is my favorite in the season. Damn, in the series even. Can’t wait for your reaction!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎉🎉🎉
About the story of Persephone, Hades gave Persephone pomegranates so she would be bound to Hades and could return to him, some interpretations suggest she either didi this willingly (which is the most likely imho) or it was forced on her hy hades
You have to remember this is a DC universe. So they mix mythologies to fit the DC comic multiverse. So all of our various creation mythologies work in the Lucifer universe.
In China the pomegranate is also a symbol of fertility. Charlotte, being the mother of creation, I don't think it's a coincidence that the Pomegranate is in her office.
Yeah, he basically set everything in motion when he created Earth with a few little nudges here and there. Like creating Chloe. He chose Chloe's parents because she would eventually cross Lucifer's path (when she investigates the murder in the pilot episode).
@@DaveH82 Clearly it's a thread of destiny that ties them together, because even in the alternate timeline episode, they still end up meeting through different circumstances...
Carly, you are absolutely right. Pomegranates are known as 'the forbidden fruit', referring directly to the Garden of Eden story. The type of fruit has been changed in different cultures but it is believed the original fruit would have been the pomegranate. In Japan it is said that pomegranate tastes like human flesh. I cannot verify this myself, having never eaten pomegranate ;)
Maybe God wants a grandchild. Remember, God never tells the angels anything. Amenadiel, assumed that God wanted Lucifer to return to Hell. Uriial assumed that God wanted him to intervene. Maybe God actually wants not only Lucifer, but the Goddess on Earth.
Another great reaction girls. I love your discussions and theories and watching the episodes again through your reactions. You'll have many more of the "How can they end it like that" episodes! See you next time 🙂 😈
Celestials, but they're not "almighty" and definitely not "all-knowing". They still need guidance. And that's not just the premise of the show, but of all myths and religions.
Um interesting what it means is god hands all over it, he actually had Chole made for Lucifer she is a blessed child that has pretty much changed Lucifer yet is it by his choice or his fathers. Its a mystery wrap in .... O dad.
Except S5b. It's better than S3 but only because it's not like 50 damn episodes, but still gives S3 a run for its money as "worst season of lucifer". 4, 1, and 5a are the best. Then 6 and 2. S3 and S5b can be erased from history and nothing would be missed, really.
@@zimvader25 I disagree. I thought 5B was better than 5A which means it’s wayyyy better than season 3. Without 5B there can’t be a season 6 storyline besides you know what which would make season 6 shallow with an ending that would not make ANY sense.
That was Amenadiel's car that blew up. Maze moved the explosive charge.
Do you remember in the Pilot episode when Lucifer asked Chloe "Did my Father send you?"

Linda started to resist Lucifer influence AFTER she met Amenedial
I don’t watch a lot of reaction channels but I really enjoy watching you girls react to Lucifer hope your channel keeps growing and finish the series🙂
I love listening to your discussions about Lucifer. Takes me back to when I first watched it.
Those of us who have watched all 6 seasons are watching your speculation with interest. :)
You two make great reactors.

well the whole concept of God is that He is omniscient, so he knows everything, past, present, future. It's the same in the show...

Some consider that Pomegranate was the so called apple Eve ate.
Should easily be able to reach that note. Try using your head voice.
please keep this pace with the uploads!
God doesn't strike a deal with anyone and Chloe's parents are normal... Chloe is the one who's different due to being a "gift"
The premise of the show is actually kinda funny. Almighty Celestials beings who go to human therapy.

I hope your channel gets not targeted like all the other ones that lately had to erase all their Lucifer content from the first seasons.
the pomegranate pictures on the wall are probably a nod to the bible. Originally the forbidden fruit was pomegranate not apple.
