I toured the mansion, during the Halloween season, as a Brownie Girl Scout in the early seventies. At that time, it didn’t seem very spooky to me. Later, in my twenties, while working as a graphic designer for John McClintock’s Cherryhill Associates, I was tasked with going to the mansion to access the archives that are there for photos of business men and bankers for a newspaper ad we were doing. The docent led me to a room upstairs in the back, and left me to comb the archives. I was fine for a while, but soon, it got freezing cold, and I had an odd feeling that I was being watched. I found what I needed, fast, and left. I don’t know if it was really anything paranormal, or if the odd silence of the mansion just got to me.
I grew up right down the street has a little kid... Still to this day I swear I saw girl wearing White see-through dress waves at me in the upper window when I was outside playing... I've also had a couple other scary moments at the mansion...
I have been waiting for this one since we chatted about it months ago!!! Great job as usual. Growing up in Hollidaysburg, I was very aware of the stories. We actually called it the dancing dress. As a young teen my sister, and I were driving by with our uncle and his wife at night. He and my sister ran up to the porch and touched it. I was scared, lol. Years later I came back to visit and we went for a tour. In that second floor parlor, I saw a shadow figure in the doorway. I wasn't scared, just intrigued. Keep up the Great Work!!
When we chatted about it, they were still closed up doing renovations. Then the Beer Bug came through and locked stuff down again. The only thing I wish I could have done at this site was hit it with a drone. Unfortunately, because they charge photographers for weddings, events, etc. They wanted some serious $$ to grant me permission to drone or take pictures aside from the ones I got inside. That is also why I am out on the sidewalk doing the video and not on the front steps. It just gives more credence to my statement in every video that "My research is limited only by the information that people don't share openly". I understand that they need money to operate... but "charging" for someone to see or learn our history is SHAMEFUL, BULLYING, and a form of legitimate EXTORTION. It is NOT THEIR HISTORY... it is OUR HISTORY.

As a big fan of you and Joey underground I must say baker mansion has always been scary to some people but is it weird to feel not scared at this place lol
@@ODDySEEy Been there too, back in the day with patty Wilson- part of her group. Yeah, it is an amazing place and yes- haunted but I do the real stuff, not the commercial stuff. Nice people there.

The father of Anna was a coercive controller and I think he may of had a sexual attraction toward her. But I would have stopped her from marrying a middle class boy as well. This happened a lot and still goes on today men and women marrying for the money. So I can see why her father put the brakes on some of her friendships with men. However her father didn’t approve of any one that Anna liked and some of these young men come from very affluent families. Again coercive control was a big instrument that men used on their wife and daughters back then. I do agree with the dad though when it came to suitors. Families used to disinherit a son or daughter that married beneath them. This very thing happened to my grandmother. She ran off with a sixteen year old school boy and was cut off completely by her parents. As for the legend of the haunted wedding dress I do believe that it is haunted I myself bought a vintage black coat many years ago and I had everything from horrible nightmares to my two pets being terrified to enter my bedroom. If I wore the beautiful black woollen coat on outings and placed things in the pockets they would disappear only to be found later in the middle of my dinning room table. Many times I had to go back to get my money purse and keys when I know too well that I put these important things in the coat pockets. A few times people would comment on the beautiful perfume I was wearing they said it smells like freshly cut roses. I wear a particular fragrance that doesn’t smell anything like roses. Every time I wore the coat I would become angry and confused. I took the coat to my Catholic priest and he drove what was attached to the coat out. My pets are content to go back into my room, the nightmares have stopped and when I put my keys and purse in the coat pockets they remain there. I stopped shopping at 2nd hand shops and antique shops after that. So many people have had this same problem with things they have bought second hand. It’s not worth it. I was lucky that the thing that was attached to my coat wasn’t malicious. I have heard some real horror stories where people have died or have gone insane by malevolent spirits that people have brought home with them that were attached to things. There are so many haunted houses in this world too, it’s mind blowing just how many sites, buildings, houses and apartments are haunted.
I don't have a belief in ghosts nor demons that present as ghosts. BUT... I fully believe there are many phenomenon that are just outside the edge of science and understanding. One of those things is the "recording" of extreme emotional disturbances that can linger and be replayed when the conditions around the embodied object are correct. I also believe there are ways to rid those recordings and that many ancient practices that seem spiritual have an unfortunately more mundane excuse for why they work, although we don't know that reason as of yet. This is something I am hoping to root out in a cooperative channel I will be in with a friend in the not too distant future. I am glad to hear you were able to rid the bad juju from the coat. They don't make quality products like that anymore.
I liked most of your video, but have to inform you that yes- the pane does exist but is never taken out- also investigators have video and pictures. I know I have both from the mansion and have been there MANY times doing investigations. So I just wanted to let you know that. Most won't share them for fear of losing control over what they find. Mine are pretty amazing. Just saying!
