I genuinely miss King of the Hill. That show was so damn wholesome and entertaining. I feel like our world needs Hank Hill more than ever. That show deserved a proper send-off and closure.
@@joshhiggins2474 don't how it's not south park definitely how it downfall at the later seasons aswell as family guy and this stayed good the entire time
“We understand why people like it, we definitely don’t want it to be taken off the air. We just don’t respect it because we think it’s bad writing” I miss when discussions were like that...
These are the same guys who said "Don't take away my guns! I loves my gun, loves it," when asked about gun control. They've mellowed with age, just like all the SJWs screaming at college protests eventually will.
Discussions are still like that. Just more people with access to a myriad of opinions. Everyone has always formed an opinion with miniscule information. But instead, before, you had to go outside and talk to people to hear it. Now you click and in a second, see 100 people's opinion. I know I'm explaining the obvious. Excuse me on that.
@@23bitchris60 it is but it's also something that is not relative to anything. Watch more videos and trey says the same exact thing. It doesn't add to anything when it's random. With Kenny it wasnt random it was constant it was apart of the character
When you watch “6 days to air” and you see Trey agonizing over how to fill 60 more seconds of air time and then you see how Family Guy will just throw in a chicken fight or a 3 minute video of Conway Twitty you can really see their point.
I like how honest they are... BUT South Park is really bad now'a'days.. Its too soft in comparison to what it used to be. Matt and Trey has bend over for the establishment/mainstream media/ woke culture
@@nr1NPC Total nonsense. It's far more extreme, now. The reason they did the movie was because they had to leave stuff out of the show. they've said they don't need to do a movie, now because they can put it in the show.
I think that's why they tried to kill him for real and why they stopped that gag. I'm pretty sure they cringe at that being one of the most famous things about their show.
The creators of the King of the Hill, Mike Judge doesn't hate Family Guy. He likes all 3 just like the Simpson's creator and Seth the creator of Family Guy. It is just the creators of South Park that have an issue.
Just to be clear, Trey and Matt don't hate gags as such, they just hate gags that are unrelated to the narrative or any character arc, like Family Guy's cutaway gags.
@@madlord124 this is how I feel too. Family guy is just a bunch of set ups for cutaway gags and that's fine with me, it's like an adhd-fueled sketch comedy. If anything i get a little irritated with south park being really well structured as far as the story and characters go, but making the same joke over and over throughout the episode until it is done to death. To be clear though I like south park, it just is hit or miss for me sometimes.
I feel like family Guy didn’t rebel against South Park because Seth knows how crafty Matt and Trey are at making fun of people ( I mean it’s 2 against 1 )
Yea Trey and Matt are very very experienced in talking sht and criticizing things. I feel Seth can do that but not on Trey and Matt’s level, so it’s a damn good idea to just avoid that fight altogether. Take it on the chin and respect that when South Park makes fun of you, you’re not alone because they go after everyone.
Also it's a bad look to punch down, especially on your direct competition. What I don't get is how Matt and Trey or any South Park fan can criticize anything for being low brow or lazy. They've written their share of repugnantz disgusting stuff, and phoned it in as well.
Family guy is funny for the 30 minutes when its on and that's it. South Park is funny when it's on, and then days later when you have time to think about it.
funny cuts vs funny whole episodes, South park is king but I don't wanna rip too much on Family Guy or American dad (even Cleveland Show) habe given me great laughs sometimes.
@Aftermath Agreed, I remember there was an episode where Meg finally tells her entire family how they treat her like crap and tells them how awful they are to her. I really hate Lois, she's cheated on Peter with Meg's boyfriend and girlfriend, Peter's son, and I think some random guy. It bothered me when they were like "oh crap you're right we do treat you like shit" but by the end of the episode they just go back to the way they were and continue to pick on Meg. It's not really funny it's just sad
Brian and Stewie, in my eyes, is by far the best episode. No cutaways, no useless jokes, none of that. They simply get locked in a bank vault, and they have to connect, with an even more touching topic on why Brian has a gun, and why that matters. The best stories ARE the hard ones.
In retrospect, I think American Dad is the better show. It seems they took what worked for Family Guy and removed what didn’t. No excessive use of cutaway gags, new characters are introduced (that actually add to the show) and every character has some depth and can grow in an episode, like the one episode where Stan believes that helping people make them weaker until he gets a drug addiction, and by the end of the episode he admits he needed help.
I feel the same way Matt Stone does. Family Guy could be hilarious. The writers can be talented, it has randomly great song sequences, and the voice acting is really good on it. But those gags just go on for so long and never have anything to do with the main plot.
It matters because jokes with no build-up or continuity are lazy and lame, exactly what Trey said in the minutes of the video. If I wanted some random jokes in no order, I'd watch a stand-up, not a cartoon.
I thought that those gags/flashbacks were so irrelevant on purpose. But many of them were pretty funny. I am sure Seth and the rest knew exactly how they used gags in a unique way. I understand not like it but Jesus people are too much in the comments haha relax
Those gags are the reason I'm watching Family Guy and it's the reason they became famous in the first place. If they did whatever others did, they wouldn't been famous. I don't understand why that's a problem now.
These guys seem so interesting to just sit and talk with her for hours. I wish they had a podcast or some thing but I’m glad they’re focusing most of the time on the South Park stuff.
@@illiteratethug3305 it's different now but imo it was consistently solid for quite awhile. nowhere near south park in terms of satire or wit, but they clearly never meant it to be.
Isn’t it sad that South Park is in the hundred thousands, the season premiere of season 23 didn’t even get over one million. While family guy are getting over 1,800,000 views per episode.
Family Guy is capable of making me laugh and can even highlight something true from time to time, but they’re brutally right. The show gets by on easy quick hits and even if it achieves meme status it’s still pretty thin. This is why South Park is great though, two guys that still live in touch controlling almost everything about the show. Things can more naturally maintain a vision that way.
He explains himself immediately after, saying family guy’s gags are totally random, irrelevant to the story, and are there basically just to be there. The few of south parks gags are relevant to the story
There’s a difference between a running joke and a gag. What they mean is with family guy very rarely does a character have any actual growth or meaningful development it always ends with some random hack joke at the end.
Im 100% a mat and trey fanboy. But seth took it classy. He even said hed be a hypocrit to be mad they shit on him. Seriously the classiest beef in comedy history.
I doubt Seth would have had the balls to criticize South Park creators. One thing I'll give him credit is for not having a big delusional ego and knowing his limits. He knows Family Guy is mediocre. What bothers me is that Seth does have talent, take American Dad for example, that's a very good, well rounded show. He should have been focusing more on that and less on Family guy.
@@eEmm1 I may be wrong but I remember reading somewhere that Seth actually doesn't like Family Guy either but it pulls to many ratings for them to shut it down.
I totally understand their view, I think Family Guy is great but their best episodes are definitely the ones where they explore the characters some more, like Brian and Stewie's relationship
the show definitely turned to shit when Seth macfarline left the writers, the early episodes of family guy are some of the best ever and def one par with the best of South Park
TexasGTO. That's what makes it funny. I love the side comedy things like when they reference things then jump to a sheep getting sheered and he's getting off on it.
Cody Brooks. YOU'RE dumb. They did that to let people know who Conway is. And as a fan of Conway Twitty, I loved the episodes with him especially the one where he sang a full song.
Whenever I want to rewatch South Park, I have a craving to watch an episode in its entirety. Like, with "Bloody Mary," I can't just stop with Randy asking "What seems to be the officer, problem?" I need to rewatch the whole episode, because the entire episode is satisfying. With Family Guy, I can just rewatch a gag and be done. I can watch Peter start work at the Pawtucket Brewery, get drunk and naked, and then I can laugh. But I have no desire to rewatch that entire episode, because I was just compelled by their gag, not their story.
@Ryan. Hey ! I thought this was S’America! Many opinions, cultures, colors, ideas and senses of humor can live together in the same box!! Whaddya ya gonna do? You wanna go?
The thing is, it's not like South Park was perfect and every joke landed, but there is always something in the episode as a whole that drives it home. With Family Guy, none of the episodes is really that good as a whole except the ones that try serialization, those are good, but the rest is one joke after another unrelated joke, so if one or two of those don't land, the whole experience is a drag. Whenever you come back to an old episode of South Park it is still useful as a time capsule of whatever was happening back then, it doesn't feel dated, it's like reading an old newspaper, there is a big pile of information there and there were important details captured in the episode about what the society was doing about it at the time. On the other hand, With Family Guy's old episodes it's just a random celebrity I haven't heard of in ten years.
Yeah family guy is excellent for some great laughs. Try watching some try not to laugh challenges with family guy, they’re great. The story really isn’t that important in that show.
At 0:20 I love that fact that you can hear him trying to sugar coat it, then he just goes “ahh fuck it” and just says straight up that they hate family guy 😂

So true, they are actually trolling in this video as well, they convinced everyone they have a cartoon rivalry involving every adult cartoon hating family guy lollll
its actually true. manatees are so smart, some of them have actually written the plots for some cut aways (not actually written like pencil in hand) but the way they showed it on south park, it actually happened 😂😂
I remember I was in high school and saw an episode where they had a commercial break in the middle of the Peter fighting the giant chicken gag, it went on that long.
Why’s everyone throwing shade at each other in the comments? Family Guy, South Park, Simpson’s it doesn’t matter which is better it only matters what you find funny. Always disappointed Futurama doesn’t get mentioned in the best Adult Cartoon show debates. One of my favorites.
Yeah I felt this like I do genuinely enjoy family guy probably because it’s what I grew up with but it’s also just something to watch and have a chuckle at whenever I want tbh
It's because family guy, South park and the Simpsons are all still on. If the conversation is about best adult animated sitcoms ever, then Futurama gets talked about.
It's so weird that they literally accurately portrayed the initial family guy concept art in that thumbnail. Because family guy doesn't animate its own stuff. I feel for trey and Matt. Because all of the family guy animation does and still does get outsourced to China or taiwan for animation. It's understandable that these guys are mad. But the soul of their work it really shows through. It's a labour of love, and even 12 years after a clip. I can still think of a South Park clip that comes up occasionally. I can't really think of a single family guy clip. It's as forgettable as big bang theory. American dad though. Solid up until season 5.

In their defense, Family Guy in the early stages did have some originality and SOME creative writing, especially in the early seasons. But as time went on, it started to rely too much on gags and especially EDGY humor.

i loved the manatee episode, i think it was a genius roast of family guy. i just think that, just because south park has a specific writing style , doesn’t mean that family guy has to be the same. i think it’s ok to have dumb humor and smart humor, plot oriented humor and random gags. both work in different ways and for different shows. family often isn’t plot based humor , but family guy is just a show you can turn on in the middle of an episode, and laugh your ass off at the utter randomness. i personally do like south park more, but i have to admit, i think family guy usually makes me laugh more. south park is smart first and funny second. it all depends on your mood and preference. i like both for different reasons.
I know. It’s like the time I didn’t realise every joke started With ‘it’s like the time I…’ Personally as someone who was able to identify their simple formula early, I just appreciate it. It’s a shame you can’t but hey ho. Haters gonna hate I guess.
@@BlackNomad1 " it's like the time i...." Wasn't the problem. It was the random non sequiturs jammed together that lacked any relevance to the plot or even the conversation most of the time. I had a problem with it because i thought i was the only one that had problem with it. Sure, i guess for you it was just a repetitive phrase, (congratulations on picking up on that "formula"), apparently i had a more substantive issue with it.

I couldn’t agree with this sentiment more. I used to think it was funny when I was a kid but then I grew up. Since South Park integrates pop culture and current events into the writing, it feels more fresh and relatable. Family Guy to its credit has made decent jokes in the past, but they are too far between. This is all my opinion however, but a lot of people I’ve talked to share the same sentiment.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand South Park. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of contemporary politics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Cartman's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike South Park truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Cartman's existential catchphrase "Screw you guys, I'm going home!" which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Matt and Trey's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂 And yes, by the way, i DO have a South Park tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎
The funny thing is Seth MacFarlane is actually a fantastic writer, comedian, and all around good guy. American Dad has less cutaways and its great, and The Orville is one of the best live action comedies on TV. Unfortunately Family Guy started as a bad Simpsons parody and unexpectedly turned into a cash cow he let get milked by some of the worst and uninspired writers in Hollywood.
Grew out family guy because I thought it got a bit lazy and irritating. Exactly what south park shows. But I 100% agree that he's a great writer as American dad till this day is hilarious.
The priest episode, 2nd one in the newest season isn't funny at all. Watch Family Guy's new season 1st episode and tell me it isn't funnier than that episode.
Matt & Trey are 100% right and unapologetic about it! I tried watching Family Guy and lasted an episode and a half. South Park is genius because it's written well!
I think the Super Friends episode has now been removed from platforms such as iTunes etc. very annoying. Especially as he was just a guy in orange robes and looked totally normal. He just seemed like a normal Indian/Pakistani dude and honestly when I first saw it the whole Muhammed thing remained a mystery. Funny how time changes things :P
@@b.entranceperium ya it's strange that there was so much controversy about Muhammad being on south park when they had already done it like 10 years earlier.
What’s frustrating is that some of the most clever jokes I’ve seen on television were on family guy but they’re mixed in with loads of low brow nonsense, I think it would work much better as a sketch show with how the writers are
@@dannyspelman1468 There's absurdism like Hankie the Christmas Pooh that is irreverent on purpose and then there is lazy writing like in Family Guy with all the cutaway gags and the over reliance on "awkward" or drawn out humour. The scene where Peter holds his knee in pain goes on for like 1 and a half minutes, or that episode where they introduce Conway Twittie and they just use pre recorded footage of a random old Country Star. The only joke being made in that 2 minute scene is "why is Conway Twittie being shown in the middle of a Family Guy episode"? Moreover these drawn out scenes eat up valuable time meaning the writers don't have to work as hard. Family Guy feels lazy because of these issues. Yes there's humour in over reliance on jokes (the Monty Python parrot sketch is just using the thesaurus to say the same thing, but it's still clever because they are creative in telling the same stupid joke). South Park uses satire and social commentary to make crass jokes. Family Guy makes crass jokes about nothing. To me that's the biggest difference.
@@MistaZULE I'm not actually a big fan of either show but have watched a few episodes of each. More South Park than Family Guy because I'm that age. I got a few laughs out of it and found some of the message interesting but I'm sorry if I just don't get it because I did find a lot of it childishly stupid. I understand that South Park was trying to provide social commentary along with their humour but I also found it to have an over reliance on shock humour and that doesn't really appeal to me. You could argue that Family Guy uses some form of social commentary in its own way, if not quite as much as South Park but remember, they are two different shows. That's one thing I don't get. The South Park creators seem to have some sort of problem with the Family Guy team making a DIFFERENT kind of show with a different style of comedy to theirs. What's their problem? Did they actually want to be completely ripped off? Is it an ego thing? They can continue making South Park and South Park fans will continue to watch, as long as they don't dip in quality themselves. They shouldn't be worried what Family Guy is doing, so long as they are keeping up the good work. Some people like the cutaway gags and some people will find a singing and dancing piece of shit to be a profound message in the artistic realm of absurdist, philosophical intellectualism. However not everyone is looking for artistic stimulation or social commentary in a cartoon. A lot of people are just looking for a laugh. I do love Monty Python though.
@@dannyspelman1468 Yeah I'm no longer a fan of South Park, but I watched the first 15 or so seasons a lot when i was in high school and I enjoyed the mix of social commentary with stupid and gross jokes. Same for Family Guy. The first 4 seasons I actually like and then it just became a vehicle for random gags and cutaway jokes that just felt lazy. Nice man I really like the throught you put into this reply. I think you're right that it seems a bit hypocritical for the SP creators to shit on Family Guy so much when they use the same kind of humour. I assume a lot of the resentment comes from effort. South Park produces each episode weekly on a tight schedule and they really put a lot of time and effort into it. There's a neat doc where they show the behind the scenes and they really work for each episode. By contrast, the Family Guy writers seems to just use random humour as the default and this creates the impression that they don't try. I think it's similar to photo realistic painters criticizing "modern" artists like Jackson Pollack. They spent years to get to this level and here's a guy spilling paint on a canvas and he makes more money than them. Not that I think SP creators are geniuses, but they do care about their show and I think this leads to resentment towards Family Guy because it appears on the surface that Family Guy is a lazy show. Your last point is perfect though. Some people like the social commentary, some poeple like the dancing poo, some people like the cutaway gags and there's room on tv for all of them. The SP creators aren't producing high art so it does seem hypocritical to shit on a show simply because it's lazy. That just seems pretentious to me. Agreed, I love Monty Python.
The fact that American Dad exists just proves Family Guy could be done better. It doesn't need that gag crap to be good. The characters and plots are so iconic too and I agree it's a shame they choose that writing style. But in the end it is preference and people don't seem to care so it is what it is.
that american dad episode about peanut butter and dyslexia was really good. it was the only one i watched as a kid but it was a really interesting conspiracy.
But you could see that episode was written by the family guy writers and probably non of the Simpson's writers. I will say though Modern Simpson's is better than Mordern family guy
I watched two episodes of Family Guy followed by two episodes of South Park and there's no comparison. South Park is 10x better. Always feel something when I watch South Park, Family Guy is just a good show for if you're completely smashed on booze
Family Guy will never have the writing and satire to match South Park. I mean ... The Last Of The Meheecans? I never NOT laugh at Mantequilla (Butters). He has turned into their best character.

I actually see how unique the episodes on South Park are in comparison to Family Guy now that I've seen this. Family Guy is like Stock funny adult cartoon, then look at the Lord of the Rings South Park Episode or pretty much any episode, it's unique to Matt & Trey
I like how when these guys won a fkn Oscar, they included a little message in the episode about Randy's world record poop that would show periodically (whenever Randy was taking a sh*t) and it read: "OSCAR AWARD WINNING SERIES" lmaoo
When Peter had to give Lois an apology card that said “sorry for trying to sell our daughter” cuz she was mad that he sold Meg to neil goldmen he said to Lois “yea you have no idea how hard it was to find one of those in English” because of 3rd world countries doing things like basically selling their daughters. and I thought that was hilarious.. that’s how most of the offensive jokes go though so idk what you mean by just offensive and not funny.. there’s a whole build up to the jokes and punchline.
I count 3 good seasons. 4, 5 and 6. What tf is the other one? Season 7 and onward is just edge for the sake of edge and the original 3 seasons are way too tame so what do you mean 4?
I’m so glad Matt and Trey don’t like family guy. I can’t stand it, I thought I was the only one, and the icing is the most iconic show which is Simpsons agree! And king of the hill is pure gold! South Park is really bold and brave, and I’m glad they do what they do
One of Seth MacFarlane's main defences against the pointed criticism of Matt & Trey is that cutaway gags aren't easy. That somehow, filling out to 20+ minutes with cutaways is as hard a process as producing 20+ minutes of funny plot-driven narrative. Now, perhaps he said that because he thinks that the general public don't know one way or the other. And if that was his thinking, that only writers, specifically comedy writers, know the difference, in large measure he's probably right. The fact remains, he claimed that cutaways aren't easy. I'd contend that, "Remember the time that (character name) did something incongruous with something else incongruous with the possible inclusion of a pop culture reference" is a lot easier than staying with the story for the entire episode.
Nx Doyle but south park just does current issues now. It's not creative. They just say what's the hot topic and comment on that. It's like a TH-cam video opinion shit
BOB IGOR RUINED STAR WARS NOT JUST KATHLEEN not only that, but they just take the same gag and use it all season now. They ran out of creative juices, it's pretty obvious.
Context, while family isn't that well written joke wise, There are some VERY WELL written episodes. I don't think I can say the same for South Park. I grew up on south park and sorta see the world like them, but Objectively. Family Guy does have better episodes writing wise. Sure it's not directly Seth Mcfarlan, but Stewie and Brian has some of the best episodes in family guy.
^^^Doesn't know what constitutes good writing. If Seth said that, he's full of shit. Non sequitors are the easiest thing to write in terms of comedy. Everyone knows the process (which was lampooned with the manatees on South Park): throw a ball around the room, and whoever catches it has to say the first thing that comes to their mind; do it three times, and link the three ideas in any absurd way. It literally takes no effort, especially considering it's an entire team contributing to each one. As far as their plots are concerned, it relies entirely on distracting you from the fact that they have no way to end a scene. And they're almost entirely reliant on ex machina endings. They simply do not make sense from a writer's perspective. They're like little Zack Snyder movies: a collection of scenes that are supposed to be connected, but without the actual cause and effect build up that makes for sensible plots. Deriving humor from plot is probably the most challenging way to write comedy. That's why so many "comedy" movies are terrible. It's a skill that Matt and Trey **really** have locked down. Plot driven comedy takes planning. Non sequitors take...a fucking ball, apparently.
Howard Beale I love alot of South Park, but they have definitely passed their prime. And connecting the season episodes through a loose arc seems like good writing, but it allows them to take one talking point and stretch it so far that it slaps them back in their creative faces. It's not funny to use the same punchline for an entire season. Its pure laziness. And I agree, the cut away gag is not hard to write, but comedy isn't about respecting the writing. It's a visceral reaction. That's why when you try to explain a joke it loses that underlying impetus that made it funny to begin with. So if something makes you laugh, don't analyze it too hard. Just go with it. It served it's purpose.
I'd love to hear their thoughts on the episode "Brian and Stewie". It's my personal favorite episode the series. It has no cutaways and is just 22 or so minutes of two characters riding out a weekend trapped with each other.
That’s my favourite episode. I loved Family Guy in my early teens, and that one always stuck out to me. Really impressive writing for a show that I’d put on every once and a while to laugh.
the ironic part is after simpsons called and "thanked them" years later theres a big simpsons, family guy and bobs burger cross over episode. south park is my favorite.
No creative influence behind The Simpsons wanted a crossover episode. That's 100% always a network thing to draw ratings. Family Guy is such a lowest-common-denominator piece of shit anyway that I like to imagine it was a move mostly supported by them. I think Bob's Burgers is painfully dull and weird, but people claim to love it, so whatever. I remember KotH having a lot of character and realism that Bob's Burgers does not have

@Emperor of Homophobia yeah it was a joke to serious mess that is related to the stories.

I feel like family Guy didn’t rebel against South Park because Seth knows how crafty Matt and Trey are at making fun of people ( I mean it’s 2 against 1 )
At a panel in 2007, Seth straight up said they won’t ever mock South Park because of that.
Seth going up against Trey and Matt would be like a high school football star athlete trying to talk smack to Tom Brady.
Seth is also smart enough to know that his show is actually very low effort writing

It was the random non sequiturs jammed together that lacked any relevance to the plot or even the conversation most of the time.
The cut scenes could've been made 10 seasons prior to there use and nobody would've known.
Punchlines with no setup, lazy time fillers with only the outward appearance of a joke.
I had a problem with it because i thought i was the only one that had problem with it.
Sure, i guess for you it was just a repetitive phrase, (congratulations on picking up on that "formula"), apparently i had a more substantive issue with it.

I agree, thats why until i saw the manatee episode and i realized a lot of people were bothered by it, i was able let it go and just watch family guy for what it was
YOU THINK THAT'S BAAAAD?
REMEMBER THE TIME I SANG LA CUCARACHA FOR PAUL MCCARTNEY?
I couldn’t agree with this sentiment more. I used to think it was funny when I was a kid but then I grew up. Since South Park integrates pop culture and current events into the writing, it feels more fresh and relatable. Family Guy to its credit has made decent jokes in the past, but they are too far between. This is all my opinion however, but a lot of people I’ve talked to share the same sentiment.
True
Southpark is far more intelligent than family guy.
Too bad that’s not what matters lol all I’m looking for is a dumb laugh
And yes, by the way, i DO have a South Park tattoo.

PhantomSavage Family Guy was an adult adaptation of one of Seth's past pitches of a cartoon called "Larry and Steve"
Grew out family guy because I thought it got a bit lazy and irritating. Exactly what south park shows. But I 100% agree that he's a great writer as American dad till this day is hilarious.
Seth doesn't write for American Dad.

Family Guy was decent seasons 1 - 6 in my opinion but now it's unwatchable.

The fact that the executives didn't realize Muhammad was already in an episode speaks a lot.
It got under the radar at the time and maybe it predated that the whole Danish Cartoon thing.
It would speak more if the executives at Comedy Central WATCHED South Park.
The real secret is that Muhammed actually was in the episode. He stood in the background in the intro
do they still show him in the episode, or have they censored it now that they're aware of it?
I think the Super Friends episode has now been removed from platforms such as iTunes etc. very annoying. Especially as he was just a guy in orange robes and looked totally normal. He just seemed like a normal Indian/Pakistani dude and honestly when I first saw it the whole Muhammed thing remained a mystery. Funny how time changes things :P

What’s frustrating is that some of the most clever jokes I’ve seen on television were on family guy but they’re mixed in with loads of low brow nonsense, I think it would work much better as a sketch show with how the writers are
I'm just wondering. Did you never find the humour on South Park to be a bit low brow? They did have a singing and dancing piece of pooh, remember.
I used to like the early family guy especially the episode with death
I think a great example is the American Dad episode Rabbit Ears. The plot was crazy as hell
