Funny story. It looks like she got banned off of Twitch. Probably because she had a conversation about her ensuring her would be male child WILL be gay or trans. She likely said as a joke...but you can't come at people for being toxic...while also being toxic.
Yeah looks like a 14 day suspension from some other vid i saw xD but it's hilarious to think that like toxic gaming communities have anything to do with being male. I have a ton of female friends who are better skilled than me, and they get just as angry at having noobs in their lobby lol.
A better argument would be “toxic behavior sours gaming experience if it gets out of control”, you can mute/report toxic players and it solves a lot of problems but that’s not gonna stop tea bagging or whatever else they can taunt you. Blaming it all on men is just scapegoating.
If I have to be a bit cynical/pessimistic. I've just accepted the toxic gaming environment is simply just a byproduct of giving people anonymity + safety behind a screen at the comfort of their homes. As usual, when given power or safety from consequences, people will abuse it. It's simply a human thing. (That and also ingroup outgroup bias) I know what i'm getting myself into when I play online games with voice chat so I don't expect anyone to treat me with respect because expecting others to live by certain rules/morals because I live by them, especially when they have no reason to is just foolish. Not everyone cares about being a good person. If I meet someone good, I'm fortunate. If I meet someone bad, i'm unlucky, great... report/mute and move on. You could reward good behaviour or punish bad behaviour but frankly I really dont trust the people who police these kind of things to be impartial nor actually care about nuance to make a good judgement. Because then you'd be back at my first point.
Personally I don’t have a problem with changing gaming culture, especially as a black person. I’ve been on the internet since I was 13 and one of the first things that I learned was that people are toxic & sometimes you either deal with it and ignore it, or participate. Is it the healthiest thing? No, but you can’t change people. People are just toxic, it doesn’t really matter what walk of life you come from. I lowkey checked out when she started generalizing everything. Also Omni sick cosplay brother.
Omni and everyone, you must keep in mind this is HER experience. I'd be an intervener, and I don't even agree with her. You all must understand that if we are saying dudes go to spaces to be toxic and we generally don't publicize it, ppl are gonna see the best parts of our space, be interested for the obvious things we are interested in it for, then get slapped in the face with genuine, unadulterated guy sexism film over and over again. At a certain point, you start glossing over the positives and focus on negatives cause that's how the brain is naturally tuned. This is why she talks like this. Does it hurt? Yeah man, it makes us feel like no good demons, and for those too afraid to at least interject against their bros, you have an obligation to learn how, for you are not actually ignorant of the damage the things we enjoy and indulge in can cause.
"Any male dominated space is a bad one"... Is definitely one of the statements of all time. It's not like some of the things she's saying are wrong or aren't valid concerns. Any kind of minority whether based on Gender, Sexuality, Race, Age, Disability etc. otfen face similar issues and it should be discussed and attempts to find remedies to said problems should be made... But it's not a problem exclusive to women, even though parts of the issue may present differently. Being hyperbolic and disingenuous to such an insane degree just shuts the conversation down and has people's eyes roll into the backs of their heads. It's such a weird generalization to make, because we all know toxicity doesn't at all exist in any female dominated spaces. 😒😮💨 The problem is toxic *people* in *competitive* environments, not men or predominantly male spaces. Women are not immune to being toxic, nor are men and women immune to falling victim to said female toxicity...
I want to support women in all these areas but man it’s really hard when I keep getting verbally harassed for just existing as a man. And being called a problem for feeling uncomfortable about it. I still believe in working towards that equality I just wish less toxicity was being created overall.
I have complicated feelings over this. Men and male dominated spaces are not the problem, but the fact that extremely toxic and violent people are allowed to roam these spaces virtually unchecked. The thing that I think most men don’t understand is the level of fear women have just existing in male spaces. Being threatened with violence is something women have to deal with all the time, have to be aware of as a very real possibility all the time. So when directly threatened, it’s not taken as a joke or even just a mean comment, it’s taken as a very real threat.
Ok I hear you but we're talking about game lobbies not face to face conversations. If a woman (or anyone for that matter) feels genuinely uncomfortable or upset, they just have to leave the chat instead of fueling the fire by reacting, which is what a toxic gamer wants
Makes me glad I just play with my husband! I feel like she took irl perspectives and tried to apply it to being online. Thanks for your perspective Omni. 😊
as a black guy, I personally don't stick up for people online because those people will never stick up for me, and not only will they not stick up for me they like kicking me after I stand for them so she lost me there.
I think you nailed the nail on the head there, these spaces are terrible especially competitive fps games and it's that way BY DESIGN, telling men to stop being terrible won't change that because the spaces were in normalize these behaviours in the first place What me and my friends do is instead of waiting for men to suck less ending up disappointed they actually appropriate and craft our own spaces, join groups of girls and chill men who play between themselves without being horrible, play other games with communities that are inheritly more friendly to women: Nintendo games, MMOs, and indie games for instance are way more oriented by design for people to actually socialize, make friends and be kind to each other unlike cod and league of legends that are practically built for people to be terrible and hate each other
I do like the idea of changing the entire space of gamin. Tho I don't like that she's acting like people just minding their business are apart of the problem as well when they're just simply just not letting the words those hurt people are saying to effect em
Trying to regulate a space they think is "toxic" is a toxic act in my opinion. It's like going to an all girl's school, being a guy, and saying "yeah this place needs more guys", vice versa.
I basically solo que every online game I play because if I don't I end up being yelled at by some kid or basement dweller because I don't have time to play their favorite game for 20 hours a day like they do and "get good"
Companies made the mute and block button for this reason I dont want more fuckin surveillance on every single online games I play until we get neutered to a place where you can't even trashtalk without getting banned
Tbh, i think as long as the toxicity stays in game, thats fine. You go seek it out in these spaces just for shits and giggles, but there are people who are so serious about it that they'd probably doxx someone for losing to them. Like seriously before Rockstar basically muted everyone, the lobbies were toxic af, Bad Sport lobbies is just pure hell and chaos and its funny af 😂😂 but the people who kick you out by bloating and doing those DDOS attacks really kill it.

I think people need to understand that toxicity is everywhere and you cannot change it or get rid of it. It is what it is and it will just be better for everyone to accept it. You can't ban these people because those people will just create a new account. That is why there is a mute button. It's better than nothing
Let's be real Men are not the problem, Toxic men are the problem. That's the equivalent of saying anime fans are weirdos because all they do is talk about anime, dress up like the character and act like them scream out their lungs like Goku, do ninjitsu signs or run like Naruto in public. I'd be invalidating the normal anime fans that don't do that. Just because there is a bunch of bad apples doesn't mean the entire barrel is full of them. I wish people would understand that not everyone is the same.
A majority of spaces that has heavy competition results in toxicity. Those who want to win really badly turns to extreme insults to distract the other or make them feel worse to make them play worse or leave outright. While that should be only for opposing sides, the scoreboard results in that happening to those on the same side. For example, TF2 and some peoples absolute hatred of Kunai Spys, Snipers, and Phlog Pyros. It happens to everyone in the space, it just becomes easier when you have a label that makes you unique compared to the others. That includes race, gender, age, voice, or skill. I remember that people absolutely bullied any kid that was online in the voice chat or a person with a "squeaker" in general. Is it bad to bully others in a game just to win over a teammate, yes. Is trash talk bad, no Should there be a change in how people attack others online, yes. Is it the sole duty straight cisgendered white males to make everyone feel better and white knight any negative interaction of any minority, no. Thats the only reason why i dislike this type of push, the problem is general conduct, not one specific groups conduct. Generalizing and blaming one group only causes further problems, radicalizing people, and solves pretty much nothing; people like her either doesn't understand that or just don't care. Plus its hard to take her serious when she is an obvious misandrist who would probably side with the women even if they were the agitator/bully. TL;DR : There are problems in terms of bullying that needs to be changed in the gaming community, however generalizing radicalizing, and laying blame on one group only messes with the message and causes further problems. Plus she is toxic herself so I can't bring myself to agree with her.
Honestly I understand power imbalances, but that literally doesnt apply over VC in a game. Men in lobbies have absolutely no power over women at all and cannot follow through on any dumbass threat they may make. There is no reason a women cannot make clear boundries, throw shit back at them, and report/block them if they continue like a normal person. Fear is not an excuse when they cant do anything to you.
Telling people to close their game and "educate" themselves because YOU'RE uncomfortable and they're just having fun while not actively doing anything to make you uncomfortable is hilarious. Ma'am, take all of the seats... except that gaming chair. You're clearly not built for it

There's a TH-camr that i used to watch make short content that I loved watching she's a gamer but she's also extremely honest being a feminist oh and now i know your gonna say you're just being a simp or something but here's the thing she's an actual feminist she doesn't believe in one side supremacy she believes in Fair equality and one of my favorite things she talked about was the idea that male-dominated spaces are inherently negative do you want to know the real reality of it they're not toxicity isn't everybody issue it's not a race it's not a gender it's not an identity everyone can be toxic. now that's not to say that there aren't horribly toxic people in these environments no there are quite a few that are just absolute scum but you can't look at one side and then not look at the other. that's not equality that's spinning a false narrative. God I wish I could find her channel name cuz she was very upfront with it if you don't like toxicity you don't attack the other side you do better you fight against it by taking it on the chin standing up for yourself and not letting them win by not letting them bother you beating them at their own game. A woman can be just as effective in a situation like that trust me when they see you constantly winning the only thing they're going to be doing is looking at their shattered egos. when you choose to go into a place that is systematically built as a safe space for these individuals you need to be prepared to stand on your own two feet and fight back . what she went through is not fair it's a horrible reality of what what happens in video games but you don't run away what you do is you laugh it off and then beat their asses in that game, you play so well that they have to shut the hell up and lick their wounds.stand strong silence the haters and remember no matter what they say that's just them reflecting on the fact that they are inadequate in some other part of their life. I'm a man myself but you know what's funny I've had the same experiences you talk about simply because I'm openly gay and disabled. But you know what I do when people treat me like that I told them sit down shut up and watch me beat your ass at this gam. Theres always a way to change a situation in a toxic environment and it starts with you shattering the expectations that they put on you no matter how toxic they are because you know what your skill level is and you deserve to be there. don't be silent but don't go on the attack. Beat them at their own game and stand strong proudly knowing that no matter how toxic no matter how emasculating or emfeminating it is you won.
I ,to be frank, don't agree with the solution of 'mute them'. because that just means you are asking women who play these games to treat all men as if they were out to get you and as a guy, I don't want anyone to be afraid of playing with me. muting should only be a personal choice for personal problem, like if you are somebody who enjoys games more if they are playing by themselves or if you don't like to play with 'devile_killer69' and only them because they are a jackass you are right! those who come to play games only have an obligation to themselves and their enjoyment, and some fell that trying to solve others and their issues as stressfully and expecting others to gain enjoyment from helping you is not possible. Of course! there are those who's enjoyment goes down when next to toxicity and it will make them angry seeing an toxic player so they step in to put them down (for being racist sexist etc.). They might gain happiness from putting down someone who makes them angry. even though I consider my self to be one of those players i myself have some days where i am out of it and ignore all the things happening around. The victims are given the same power as the toxic men in those games and as long as it doesn't hit social media it stays that way. so I expect the 'victims' to fight their own battles some times without me (as someone in the lobby) or asking the people of the internet to help
I don’t follow this logic. It should be as simple as hearing someone say something you don’t want to hear and muting them. It doesn’t haven’t to be a muting crusade against men, just the ones that deserve to be muted.

@@sajithm4699that’s not a good comparison cause she has to interact with that bully in real life. @sajithm4699 online lobbies are also a place you're in once for a very limited amount of time. Unless communication is required completely I mute as soon as I hear anyone say anything. The reason the school comparison isn't working for me is you can't just log off as soon as someone is being wack

Omni, Bruh, Imma go ahead and say, the overall tone of your response was mighty white of you. Gaming spaces(every space) are for men, therefore women have to accept it. There are ways to exist in the space, shrink yourself, mute your voice. I can respect her truth, even if it's coming with strong LSP energy.
Here’s a thought maybe put the game down once in a while take a breath, go outside touch some grass feel the breeze of life gracefully touching one’s skin. Maybe there would be less toxic game places if they do such things.
*Looks at the current WNBA and USWN soccer team* Yup, totally limited to men's spaces and isn't at all due to the inherent competitive nature. There's totally not tens of millions of women who subscribe, create, comment and post content solely devoted to abusing and harassing men across twitter, youtube, instagram, etc. How about not intentionally seeking out the most toxic communities in the world and then bitching about the toxicity?
I think the trash talk could be better, toxic communities barely talk trash and more just hit low iq racist slurs and sterotypes, you can't really stop toxic trash talk in smaller areas of the gaming space because everyone does have a right to free speech and policing trash talk to such a high degree that you can't say anything negative is way worse of an environment to be in because eventually that just downplays genuine criticism to a form of hate speech. I would like to see women fire back with just like equally low ball toxic feminine talk, or even better genuine criticism, because at least the people listening get a laugh out of it
*FUN FACT:* You are not _"part of problem"_ if you have an issue with women like her constantly reducing men to our worst examples. It is reasonable to be indignant towards sexism. Like she, herself, is spreading. You are not contributing to anything when you point that out. You are not part of the problem for that, she is.
Yall are so funny, instead of fighting nazis, you rather fight people who fight with nazis in the wrong way, do you see how this logic is kinda flawed?
@farquarwion4324 I am left leaning, but I am not afraid to call out the bullshit on "my camp." Because I have intellectual integrity. Also, there is an irony that your deriding comment only proves my point. Like Nazis is the go-to group when you think "sexism." Or do you think anyone who doesn't agree with you must be fascist and you use "Nazi" as a emotionally loaded word. But all this, to paint your critics as "Nazis." Reducing them to their most possible worst examples, so you don't have to engage with their points. Wake up and realize that this is a brainrot crybully mentality. People are not "defending Nazis" by calling your tribe out for bullshit that we all are tired of.
@farquarwion4324 okay, for future note. You cannot come from a place of "I obviously know what's right, you will see in time." It comes off as narcissistic, pompos, and arrogance. You will not change hearts and minds that way, so, what are you even doing? You gotta bring them over to your side with reason. Which, I believe you are being hyperbolic. I am not supporting socail regression. By calling out the bs the left does. (I am left leaning too.) If anything, it can only benefit the left to deal with their misandry that is reinforced and encouraged by a social climate over saturated in gynocentrism.
Theres nothing wrong with anything she said. I think some of the interpretation is a little off. Bottomline is dont harass a woman for playing a game just bc shes a woman. We like games too. If you dont want to talk to people yeah thats fine but we shouldnt HAVE to take extra steps just to be able to enjoy the game.

Omni, do you not realize that your counter by saying you’re just tryin to do your own thing when you’re playing a game you bought is literally what women are trying to do, but get harassed into oblivion for. Like toxicity is not something inherent to gaming
That gamer needs thicker skin. It is easy to silence negative voices in the online space. It is easy to find or create your own community of like-minded gamers. It sucks to be harassed for no reason, based on factors you cant control. The Internet is a wild space, but it's the responsibility of the user to protect themselves in that environment.
misandry is just as cringe as misogyny. I empathize with anyone who needs to put up with harassment, but matching hate with hate just drives the wedge in further. In the words of Henry Dumas “Hate is also creative: it creates more hate”. I understand the frustration but this approach isn’t the way to go about it. Judging any demographic based of its outliers is only gonna drive more people twords the more radical part of said community.

Yeah looks like a 14 day suspension from some other vid i saw xD but it's hilarious to think that like toxic gaming communities have anything to do with being male. I have a ton of female friends who are better skilled than me, and they get just as angry at having noobs in their lobby lol.
Really says a lot of people like her
What up Omni! Thanks to you telling me to open a Fidelity account years ago. Appreciate you and your content!
Man wish I heard that advice, opened one recently and things have been on the up and up
@Jaycan small world lol
@@Uno_Hunter ayyyy nice to see you here!
(That and also ingroup outgroup bias)
I know what i'm getting myself into when I play online games with voice chat so I don't expect anyone to treat me with respect because expecting others to live by certain rules/morals because I live by them, especially when they have no reason to is just foolish.
The way youre wearing those headphones is so distracting 😂
I didn't notice it til I read this comment....now I can't unsee it lol.
@@k_t_flow2674 like...why is he even wearing them 😭
Omni and everyone, you must keep in mind this is HER experience.
The problem is toxic *people* in *competitive* environments, not men or predominantly male spaces. Women are not immune to being toxic, nor are men and women immune to falling victim to said female toxicity...
Bro i have been addicted to Omni after Dark!! Love your content as always I'll do my best to hop in your streams as soon as I can!!
I want to support women in all these areas but man it’s really hard when I keep getting verbally harassed for just existing as a man. And being called a problem for feeling uncomfortable about it. I still believe in working towards that equality I just wish less toxicity was being created overall.
1 second into the video and I gotta say.......
Nice hat dawg
I was a little kid with a high pitched voice back in the day it was something else man😭😭
Trafalgar Omni does bring back fond memories. *"The one piece is real!"*
as a black guy, I personally don't stick up for people online because those people will never stick up for me, and not only will they not stick up for me they like kicking me after I stand for them so she lost me there.
You get kicked for sticking up for other players? CAP 😂😂
@farquarwion4324 never underestimate mfs on the internet, you can get dogged on just for being a dude
I think you nailed the nail on the head there, these spaces are terrible especially competitive fps games and it's that way BY DESIGN, telling men to stop being terrible won't change that because the spaces were in normalize these behaviours in the first place
What me and my friends do is instead of waiting for men to suck less ending up disappointed they actually appropriate and craft our own spaces, join groups of girls and chill men who play between themselves without being horrible, play other games with communities that are inheritly more friendly to women: Nintendo games, MMOs, and indie games for instance are way more oriented by design for people to actually socialize, make friends and be kind to each other unlike cod and league of legends that are practically built for people to be terrible and hate each other
I do like the idea of changing the entire space of gamin.
I basically solo que every online game I play because if I don't I end up being yelled at by some kid or basement dweller because I don't have time to play their favorite game for 20 hours a day like they do and "get good"
I see Law obtained the Omni-Omni no Mi in this universe
Companies made the mute and block button for this reason I dont want more fuckin surveillance on every single online games I play until we get neutered to a place where you can't even trashtalk without getting banned
You learn in life that you can't change a toxic person's attitude. Just simply don't interact with those people if you don't like the outcome.
I want her to either amend her stupid opinion or be ridiculed off the internet. “Men are the problem.” Really? Quite the GamerGate moment.
combating sexism with sexism. ok
The second you generalize a group of people you opinion is thrown out of the window

Yes

Nah. Companies that think it's okay to sell games for $130 and the people who buy them are the problem in gaming.
Is trash talk bad, no
Should there be a change in how people attack others online, yes.
Thanks law kun
You're clearly not built for it
I play cs2 and I’ve been called every black slur you can name, in the early days I just claped back harder and or just flat out ignored it. Muting it is always a good option cause it ain’t worth it
Yall remind me of in school when i bully hits you and you hit back youre the one who gets in trouble 🤣
Think before you speak, lesson of the day
bruh legit just opened league and bro started talking about how toxic it was TwT
Omni, as a man, i would love for you to give me 3 examples of male dominated spaces that arent bad for women in general. Since thats really what she's saying.
I agree with her but on the other sides, if she know the space is toxic, she should avoid it. Alot of people use these toxic place as a way to express themselves and a place to releive stress. If you can't handle the environment, then i suggest you playing single player game.
I really don't understand how being bad at video games or not being competitive makes you feel unsafe...? That has nothing to do with anything...
Love the Law cosplay❤💛💖
Omni Law during surgical summer 😂
I don't know what her problem is. I just press the mute button or play team based games with friends exclusively.
same shit with like twitter if someone is bothering you or you don't wanna see something what do you do you block the person, mute the topic into non existence you don't have to like deal with it and like the thing that really rubbed me the wrong way is tryna make it everyone elses issue like in game cos ain't nobody tryna help like that no one is gonna defend you like they know you or like a knight dare i say, now yeah i can't lie women it's gonna be harder but it's like "oh people don't get bullied for being a guy in those spaces" but it's like well it's a trait both peeps the aggressor and the victim share like duh it's the same energy as like a prominently female space actively attacking a dude they won't bully a women for being a women cos they're also women anyways all that aside if this ain't the place to vent toxicity where else cos like theres a reason peeps would nuke the world if the logs got leaked cos it ain't for the outside world what happens in toxic game stays in toxic game fr
Yo Law?!!
So as a man what am I supposed to do?
I ,to be frank, don't agree with the solution of 'mute them'. because that just means you are asking women who play these games to treat all men as if they were out to get you and as a guy, I don't want anyone to be afraid of playing with me. muting should only be a personal choice for personal problem, like if you are somebody who enjoys games more if they are playing by themselves or if you don't like to play with 'devile_killer69' and only them because they are a jackass
you are right! those who come to play games only have an obligation to themselves and their enjoyment, and some fell that trying to solve others and their issues as stressfully and expecting others to gain enjoyment from helping you is not possible.
Of course! there are those who's enjoyment goes down when next to toxicity and it will make them angry seeing an toxic player so they step in to put them down (for being racist sexist etc.).
@@Echo-nn8dt I agree with this, but at the same time when some one comes to play the game they are there for the gameplay not to judge whether the person they are playing with is toxic or not
@@Echo-nn8dt and also lets say i have a daughter and she tells me she is getting bullied at school, telling her to ignore their comments and stay with other kid who she trusts and likes is a fine advise in my opinion but if i am a teacher and if a student tells me she is getting bullied giving her that advise is not a good teacher move the way I see
@@sajithm4699that’s not a good comparison cause she has to interact with that bully in real life. In the game, they don’t have access to you physically but muting them will also make them lose all access to you cause they don’t know the real you unless they dox you. You can’t compare real life issues with online issues cause on the internet you have my control who comes in contact with you.
@sajithm4699 online lobbies are also a place you're in once for a very limited amount of time. Unless communication is required completely I mute as soon as I hear anyone say anything.
The reason the school comparison isn't working for me is you can't just log off as soon as someone is being wack
I forgot to mention It doesn't matter who you are you will get made fun of or get dragged through the mud. If you have an accent, disability, if you talk slang, acting like a jimmy two shoe person, if you're from another country you will get made fun of.
I understand why she's upset but it she seems like she wants folks to cater to her because she can't handle a space where she should have no business being there or can solve a simp solution.
i know you cant hear shit with your headphones like that
Omni, Bruh, Imma go ahead and say, the overall tone of your response was mighty white of you. Gaming spaces(every space) are for men, therefore women have to accept it. There are ways to exist in the space, shrink yourself, mute your voice. I can respect her truth, even if it's coming with strong LSP energy.
What does "mighty white of you" mean exactly?
Trafalgar Omni Law 👌🏾🔥
Here’s a thought maybe put the game down once in a while take a breath, go outside touch some grass feel the breeze of life gracefully touching one’s skin. Maybe there would be less toxic game places if they do such things.
sadly we know that not gonna happen
Gamer gate ahh video
Theres nothing wrong with anything she said. I think some of the interpretation is a little off. Bottomline is dont harass a woman for playing a game just bc shes a woman. We like games too. If you dont want to talk to people yeah thats fine but we shouldnt HAVE to take extra steps just to be able to enjoy the game.
Crazy idea mute them also not all male spaces are toxic thats like me saying all women spaces are toxic which alot of the are the constant talking about behind there back etc but not all of them is that way its kinda of pointless to even talk about this people are just mean we can't stop it.
Exactly I don't get people that wanna make a few bad apples a collective group it's like saying Christians are homophobic wrong only homophobic Christians are homophobic
Omni, do you not realize that your counter by saying you’re just tryin to do your own thing when you’re playing a game you bought is literally what women are trying to do, but get harassed into oblivion for. Like toxicity is not something inherent to gaming
Additional comment since I left the first one before getting. To the end, her video IS firing back
That gamer needs thicker skin.
It is easy to silence negative voices in the online space. It is easy to find or create your own community of like-minded gamers.
It sucks to be harassed for no reason, based on factors you cant control. The Internet is a wild space, but it's the responsibility of the user to protect themselves in that environment.

This trend is still alive? 💀
true, 800% like ratio is trash
misandry is just as cringe as misogyny.
She’s not wrong 😑 it’s been nuts 🔩 but men love and seek that to be toxic not all do but a lot do but there are toxic places with women too but to be honest I just now that toxic gaming is never gonna change never it’s how some guys are going to be toxic so u just have to mute them u can record there toxic behavior attack back or mute them cause they not changing 🤔
