  • Hopefully I explained the mock draft well. Wanted to try out some ideas I hadn't seen elsewhere. Let me know if I should do more of these.

Let me know what you guys think of the mock draft! I'd love to hear some of your draft hot takes. Still a lot of studying to do before I try a real prediction.

Hey! With all due respect, as a Chargers fan, this pick is crazy. The idea of correcting the interior is absolutely correct, as it is probably the number 1 priority, but spending a 1st rounder on a T than CAN play RG when Tate Ratledge (probably the best RG prospect in the draft) will most likely be available on the 3rd round doesn't sound right. You can't convince me that a flexed tackle is more worth than a Colston Loveland, an Edge, or even a WR.

So I mention it here but this isn’t just a tackle who can play guard this is a potential all pro caliber guard according to Analyst Daniel Jeremiah. And keep in mind we have no idea what’s gonna happen in free agency so it’s possible like Mack is back and Chargers bring in Higgins or something to that effect. Thanks for the feedback and I’ll definitely look into a bit of Ratledge film since you mentioned him.

@WeLikeFootballJordan I see your point, but to that I'd argue that it's too early to invest in a guard. I know that "he can be an all-pro guard," but it feels to me that's not very solid/safe as he has never played at RG in his college career. It's not like Joe Alt, as it is the same position flipped. We already had trouble this year as our starting RG Trey Pipkins was our 2023 starting RT and made the switch, and he was horrible. Making this same move with a rookie just doesn't strike me well. As you said, there's free agency and the guard position could be adressed there too.

Yeah this isn’t my prediction by any means it’s just an interesting route things could go from my opinion.

@WeLikeFootballJordan To be fair, it is refreshing seeing a prospect that's not Colston Loveland every single mock. Sometimes as a fan you only want to see what you want, and that's why I was a bit assertive in my comment, so I apologize.
In the end, it's a nice niche and unexpected prospect that could work.

    Sanders though?!

Hopefully I explained it well. I think Ward is a better overall prospect, but Sanders is better suited to the type of offense the browns run.

I really don’t think that the patriots will be able to pass on Hunter if he falls to them rather fill 2 holes with a pick than one

Yeah I wanted to kinda go a different route with it on this one. I don’t think Hunter is as plug and play as people are assuming there are a ton of questions with just how much he can play in the NFL both from a playbook and durability perspective. I think it’s important for them to invest in either full time protection or full time receiving options rather than a part time piece right now.
