I have had a bed in the back of my jeep for about a year. I left the back rest of the back seat in and left it laying down. I started redoing it yesterday and thought id check youtube for ideas. Ultimately ive decided to strip the back rest to the skeleton so i removed the cushion and cover. Im adding plywood to extend it more with some legs for support. It still folds up and down for storage space like original under the back seat. Definitely nice to have a made bed for easy sleeping on adventures. Setting up camp is as easy as opening the hatch.
This was a good approach. Lots of people are building high bed platform that limit head room, meaning you can't sit up. I think something like this makes more sense. Well done sir.
