I was a pitcher and shortstop from bantam all the way through D1 in college (with MLB offers). My glove and all of my teammates gloves were worn on their off hand because the coordination it takes to field a ball requires nowhere near the fine motor skills it takes to throw a ball with accuracy and velocity. There isn't a single non-ambidextrous player in the MLB who wears their glove on their dominant hand.
