Amazing! Does anybody know what the advantage is to landing in the cradle rather than just landing on the ground? Is it just intended to reduce the weight and complexity by eliminating the landing gear?
it is also part of the plan for quick relaunches by being to directly down in place for a refuel, starship placement and relaunch. SpaceX has previously stated they could get that down to a 1 hour window (seems unrealistic but that is what they are shooting for)
It is much harder than it appears. Lots of video of the Chinese failing at landing a re-useable rocket engine. Kudos to the engineers who made it possible.
that’s all great!now let’s get on with getting on the moon ! or is this all like a big show that really goes nowhere? while the chinese are on the dark side!!!!!
Elon musk is the only reason anyone still have respect for america. That fking guy is beyond amazing. He will be remembered forever
My husband referred to the cradle as "clampies clamping" and now I'm using that phrase whenever possible.
Love me some SpaceX and wish I could work there ❤🎉

That is precisely the reason. The landing gear on this would be so much larger and heavier as well.

reduces likliness for damage to bells and allows for visual inspection after landing with cameras before placement back on thr pad for the next launch
These are the things that America great. 🇺🇸
The crowd that is heard.. is all the divers that normally get those from the bottom of the ocean xD
(this is a joke not facts)
Reality will be exactly as how expectation is shown just give it some 300 more chances
Literally was the same
@jaxdo7321
Nah, i meant there were some fire pouring out of the body of the booster, right? So those need perfection..
@@shawonzaman2588 oh my bad I got you. They will prolly only need 1 or 2 more attempts tbh
@jaxdo7321
Y3ah agree, 300 was just a safety net lol
Only difference seems spacex can't control lighting in the matrix...
Its so amasing😢😢😢

Fantástico.

The Chinese are on the dark side all right
