    Let's ride!
    Another hot one but not 115f/46c. On this day I had an active runny nose so there will be a lot of sniffing during the ride. Most of the ride is on the trails but I did hit a North Las Vegas neighborhood for a few minutes. Over the last 5-7 miles I really slowed down and didn't make any commentary so enjoy the natural sounds of Las Vegas. Not a bad ride but I need to get started closer to 7/8am rather than 11am during the hot weather.

    I walk a portion of it it everyday!!! That was fun. I wish the city would keep ours as clean and attractive as they do on the west side.

      I agree 100%! It's always a visual pleasure to go to the west side.

    Hey Ken, thanks for the bike Tour! Love seeing the neighborhoods commercial and residential! Back in the day Jerry’s nugget offered a killer prime rib for a low price! Don’t know if it’s still does!

      Yes! Jerry's Nugget is on my list for their prime rib. I want to visit them soon.

    I road this about a week ago. Really got to venture Vegas from this route. Took some time to hop back on the trails due to various halts running into major streets & crosswalks etc, but overall, cars were friendly. Watch out for the "crappy areas" for sure. The environment can go from 100 to zero very quickly. Ride on buddy!

    Bless your heart, doing these rides out in this heat. We are roasting in LA, i don't dare set foot in Vegas in the summer. Thanks for your sacrifice lol🤩

      Man, that was a ride. At the end when I rolled up to the bus stop. Some guy asked if I wanted to buy an ice cold beer for $2. lol. Hustlers are everywhere in Vegas.

      @@OneManOneCamera the question is where did he have the beer, and how did he it cold …🥶 Also must be a state issued bus stop liquor license! 🍺

    I’m hoping that during this ride there’s going to be a food stop along the way ..lol 😂

      No food on this ride. I don't think I brought a lock and bicycle thievery is sky high in Vegas. Even if you have a lock, some miscreant will steal or try to steal a quality bike.

    Hello I'm a bit late thanks for the trail info I'll add it to my list. i have the most fun place to mtn bike at wetlands trail loop..8 miles of 8' wide paved 8'-120' hills and curves to lakes of las vegas and back it's a roller coaster ride at 15-35 mph. I recently bought an older specialized full suspension 27 Lbs and added a NP Power 2,000 W hub kit with 60 V 25 AH battery does 41mph for at least 70 miles. I do no petaling i just did the 33 mile loop from railroad pass casino its river mountain trail loop i think and have my eye on the blue diamond area trails, cowboy, flowjob, 3 mile smile it's smoother single track without alot of rocks. My kit was $450 and battery around $450 but after around 1,000 miles I'm now confident it's a solid durable setup reliable no problems. Jily here is up at 5am to be somewhere at 6am usually done by 10am as the heat here is a killer..you know it.

      Wetlands is a great ride and I've done it several times. Once I saw a coyote and it gave me a scare as I wasn't expecting to see one.
      I haven't made the jump to an electric machine, maybe one day I will.

    Hey Ken, I busted your hump about getting lights for your bike on one of your last rides. Now, I'm going to bust your hump for riding without a helmet!
    C'mon man, we need you. A decent helmet costs about fifty to a hundred bucks. Keep pedaling, safely.
    Love your videos. Thank you.

    • @OneManOneCamera

      Hey check it out... Helmet is to arrive on Thursday. If I measured my dome correctly, all should be well. You know I was thinking about this comment earlier today, I was walking home from the supermarket and about to cross the street... I thought, it's dangerous in this town as a pedestrian and I should be in a Robocop suit. lol. And sure enough, a car zipped through the crosswalk while running a red light right in front of me. >.

    I was about to do the same ride at 10pm due to the crazy heat we have been experiencing this past week. But after seeing some of the not so good parts I’m not so sure anymore lol.
    Also, what bicycle do you ride?

    • @OneManOneCamera
      @OneManOneCamera  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      10pm? Braver than me. lol. It's really a great ride but unfortunately some of the areas are occupied with potentially spicy individuals.
      On this ride, I was using a Schwinn but that bike wore out and has been tossed. These days I use a Diamondback Edgewood. I bought it from a gentleman in Henderson for the princely sum of $180. It was probably ridden less than 5 times. 👍

    Where's the starting/finish spot for this trail.

    • @OneManOneCamera
      @OneManOneCamera  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just noticed that I have the wrong name of the trail. lol. The name is "Flamingo Arroyo Trail".
      Copy this 36.122307, -115.114382 into Google Maps and it will give you the starting point. It's on East Twain between Eastern and Topaz. The trail runs to Nellis and ends near Sahara by the Smiths and Burger King. The trail picks up again on Vegas Valley Drive near the large pedestrian overpass. The trail then runs to the parking lot at Clark County Wetlands Park, and changes to the Sunrise Trailhead.
      The route in this video turned left (north) at Nellis and jumped on the Las Vegas Wash Trail, which continues to Craig.

      Good question. I've always been a slow rider, so probably around 10-11mph. I'm always amazed when I see the speeds of other riders.
