I enjoy watching your channel. You get straight to the subject of what you have made. You never show anything that's too complicated. I can see myself making a lot of the same patterns.😃.....Always,Sheryll

Love this pattern! It was the first “shirt” I ever made and it gave me the confidence I needed to tackle more advanced project

Have made this with a bracelet length sleeve in the higher neckline version and recently in a white damask with the low neckline and full length sleeves. I’m a 37” bust and Small size was fine for me.

Yes definitely plenty of ease isn't there? Your versions sound gorgeous thanks for sharing.

It looks lovely, Lucy. You could probably do the collar in a contrasting plain fabric to show it off and still have your floral print for the main body. Either way, it's gorgeous! :) x

I did think about that funnily enough Rose, I think it's a great idea, maybe black crepe to go with the black buttons. Thank you

Nice fabric choice for this blouse. Looks very nice on you. My favorite feature is the v-neck. If I were to make it I may leave off the collar for one of the makes. Always fun to change a pattern up.

Thank you so much, I love the v neck too, good idea about leaving off the collar and there's even a facing so you wouldn't have to draft anything, great idea!

Enjoyed this review and the blouse looks lovely on you.
I've just completed a wearable toile after some considerable adaptations from my calico toile. I'm quite curvy: I need an FBA and even though this pattern has the tiniest dart I needed to do this. I also needed to grade out two sizes for my waist and hips and because this pattern is actually very boxy - it was a bit challenging to retain a nice flowing shape. I used a beautiful lightweight John Kaldor cotton from my deep stash and the flowing nature which would come from a fabric similar to the one you used, or a drapey rayon, became less flattering drape lines in waist and hip area that I couldn't remove.
If I make it again I will use drapey fabric - I think their recommendations of light to medium weight wovens is not specific enough. I have some Liberty fabric that I had bought for this blouse but I won't use it for this pattern now - that's what toiles are for!
One other note is about the seam allowance. I would have like to used French seams but with only a 3/8" allowance, sewing at 1/8" and 2/8" on lighter, possibly more shifty fabric will be painful. I'll think about adding another 1/8" to SA.
Hope you don't mind this long comment.

Love it in a floral print. Looks gorgeous ❤ Have a similar pattern I’ve cut out for two blouses, think there might be a floral one coming too!
