The piano and the guitar on this are simple, amazing blues! the guy was a class act! even when his voice started to go it showed a vulnerable side, an imperfection that was perfect! he was a legend and a genius! words which often get overused in todays humdrumb music scene?!!!!

There are some great performers but no one was able to incorporate so many genres from country to outlaw country to bluegrass to folk to rock. He was never limited by being a country western singer and always stood up for his beliefs in his music and in his other beliefs. His depth in his later works was really gripping, especially since you know he had been through the tragedy of losing June Carter. It wasn't long after that he too passed away.
The age, weariness and hurt in his voice just make this....June had died by then. He was alone.

Johnny Cash could sing commercial jingles and it would beat any thing else by anybody else. Please don't take offense or try to argue, that's just one man's opinion. I also love the Depeche Mode original and the Marilyn Manson cover too. I hate seeing arguments about music on here. I love everything from digeridoo music to ICP to classical to Slipknot to Joe Bonnamassa. I don't like hip-hop or the Beiber/Gaga stuff, so I don't go to their videos and post negative things. Music should = peace.
