There really isn't any reason to include a "best" list for level 20 since 99% of players will not have more than 1 level 20. Mostly you will have them around level 10 for the vast majority of the game so that's the most useful criterium. The best manager is Drae, best servers are El Nino, Raptor, Itsuki and Cohh. Best cooks are Maki, Yone, James, and Charlie (/Tahoku). Best dispatch is Davina, Masayoshi and Pai. Everyone else goes whereever theres room or gets send to gather ingredients. This is from someone who completed the game multiple times.
Thank you for making this! I just bought the game and I know I’m late to the game. After unlocking the branch I felt confused but after watching the video I have a much better understanding of the system!
Yep...and when you actually hire them that info is not visible anymore (misteries of game interfaces) :DDD Anyway...to my knowledge the 2 best servers are El Nino and Raptor (I see those are also used in the video)...those 2 guys are wonderful combined, also tnx to their respective special abilities. For cooks...1 good one is the girl that joins after a quest...and there are a couple more with over 900+ stats when you "project" them to lvl 20... I still dont understand what "appeal" stat does...
Amazing guide! I'm been too focused on grinding via diving to get more fish. I will try to focus on leveling up the staff and the main story to unlock the crop farm and branching area.
To me, Drae was the best branch manager. He gets level 9 ingredients around level 12 or so and upgrades to 5 stars around level 14. I have not changed him from branch manager since.
@@gabrielbrum87 You only need about 500 in each stat for the manager, so Drae’s extra is overkill for the position. Also his skills (Cleaning and Cocktail Serving) are useless as a manager because they automatically can do that… which is why Raul is a better manager choice (his skills do benefit managers) leaving Drae to be a server, cook, or just reserve you dispatch to make use of his great Procure.
@@Barghaest But to get to 500, you need to train Raul to level 20, right? So, you'll be spending way more money on him to get to the same stats level as Drae. Drae at level 15 gives 5 stars and level 9 ingredients.
@@gabrielbrum87 You’re right. I was assuming people continued the game after unlocking branch manager for the whole purpose of maxing things (recipes, staff, equipment), so the fact you need to spend a bunch to max Raul shouldn’t matter.
If you hire everyone, and upgrade them all to lvl 7, and swap them all in as branch manager, you'll find a couple of them give ranking 9 at the branch, without leveling above 10
I just unlocked my branch and I'm not sure what fish/ingredients to send over there its pretty overwhelming for me. Whats a good starter dish for me to start selling at the branch that doesnt require too much maintenance? I was thinking of just selling 1 menu dish there to keep it simple, and I can just make sure I have all the dish ingredients stocked up.
Yeah in the beginning I just kept it simple like I mentioned here. Don’t get toooo worried. As you collect more fish and send eggs to the farm it starts to get easier. Start small!!
The staff member liu who says early on in the game don't worry about managing the restaurant is the best manager when you appoint him it says excellent choice. I don't think people have noticed but even with lower stats he will make more money for the branch that anyone else. #davethediver #liumanager
From my experience, Yusuke for manager you get rank 9 around lv 11 or 12, and Star rating 4 around lv 15. Maki with any subpar cook can handle the kitchen. Drea has cocktail and cleaning, but for him to move reasonably fast lv 11.Other server I use Cohh. All but manger are LV 12, I served 36 ppl a night and get (rounded up) 25k.
I use Drae as a manager as well. I'm a little worried about upkeep costs for staff making a bunch of the recipies irrelevant. I have like 5 dishes that can carry the cost and not all of the ingredients are farmable easily.
There’s a massive issue with the branch I don’t understand. When I deliver the Ingredients for pricier dishes and even choose the selling policy focusing on the price they still put the cheaper dishes on the menu and even sell more of these than the pricier dishes I meant to sell. For example during the cucumber event I sent enough waptia and cucumber for the combined dish of these two ingredients. Along with that dish they automatically put the normal Waptia sushi on the menu which is way cheaper but you can’t delete it so I had to deal with it. Then during the event most of the customers ordered the cheaper Waptia sushi and only a few picked the pricey dish I was actually meaning to sell. Am I doing something wrong or is this just an issue I have to deal with because it’s frustrating as hell.
Great video! I'm curious about who is the best choice as the manager, I've researched a bit , and the general consensus is that it should be an all round staff which Raul seems to be the best. However, there are cases that people reported that Pai and Devina gives extra fish rank or stars for some reason.
I just ranked up my Pai to 16 and put him in the branch for a comparison, and it im at Rank 9, 4 stars, which is above other staff at the same level. Seems that there really is something different about certain staff members that give them an advantage but I dunno what.
the branch office isn't from story progression, unless you're slow at doing the main storyline. i just beat the game, and never got a branch office. the real unlock is by doing all of the VIP missions. i guessed it was from story progression, so i just went after the main story as fast as possible, and missed it. i think i am doing the last VIP mission today though.
There is no sigle one of the 4 stats that gives you the best manager...I tried all 4 and got mixed results...1 recruit with less procure was definitely having a higher grade as manager than one with more procure.
Love this game and your videos so maybe you can help me with a problem. One of my first quests was: ask Otto about the cucumber seeds. I was puzzled and had no idea who Otto was but the quest remained in the To-Do list so I assumed I would meet him later on in the game, and eventually I did. He gave me the fish farm and later the rice paddy after the Michael Bang's quest but I never had the option to ask him about cucumber seeds. I had hoped I could expand the amount of rice and also add some vegetables to the meals or else I could never reach Diamond status. But that never happened. So I have a feeling I am stuck with only 20 rice every 3 days and no vegetables. Strangely the To-do list marks the Cucumber Party (which I still have not done) as Clear and the Michael Bang quest as Failed. But I did not fail it, I succeeded and I have the Robot Samurai poster hanging in my restaurant to prove it. It seems the quests are somewhat randomized and can appear out of order, which is fine but in my case it seems to have messed up my game and I think am stuck. According to Steam I already have 50 hours invested, I'm not sure I want to start all over again. ☹ Any ideas/suggestions, maybe something I have not thought of yet?
Hmm. That is a crazy bug for sure. I think what I would do is (and I’m SO SORRY TO SAY THIS) wait for the next cucumber party event. The events happen over and over. It might re trigger the quest for you. If it doesn’t, then at that point I would report it to the developers. With that said, did you try doing and talking to Otto after this at the regular farm?(I know you probably did. I just want to make sure) because he will expand the veggie farm and the wheat farm as well for a bit of gold. I upgraded mine prior to the cucumber quest. So it isn’t connected entirely. Just some of it is connected.
