I am very much in line with all the restaurant reviews. Sad to say, I had the same experience in Cagney’s. Everything around the meat was perfection but the meat was just a bit tough and I am a rare meat eater so it wasn’t the cooking. Totally agree on the Mexican. Overwhelmed on the size of the portions, underwhelmed on the flavour. Loved the Italian, had the veal Milanese, delicious but the portion was too large. Indulge was a great alternative to the buffet and never had a bad plate throughout the cruise. I did eat once in Hudson’s for the ambience. The food as usual left a lot to be desired. More fit for large banquets as opposed to individual dining. I am booked on the transatlantic in November and look forward to visiting my favourites on the Viva.

I’ve just looked at the November TransAtlantic…. What a lovely itinerary that is. I’m sure you’ll have a great time in all those ports, plus lots of sea days to enjoy the actual ship. If I had enough annual leave remaining, I would be booking myself on that cruise!
The VIVA was amazing when we were on it March 29th 2024, All food was top notch with exception of deserts, They cheeped out and most seemed like frozen or Powered MIX Base. Presentation was amazing but desert was poor, poor, poor for all restaurants.

Recently spent 10 days on Viva in the Haven section. Service in private dining room was fantastic but food was very mediocre thought the ship. Greasy sandwiches and burgers. The small menu was identical for all 10 days. All meals seems to be a 3/5. Went to main dining room 2x just get some variety. 4 specialty dining choices were 3/5 at best. I used to rate Norwegian cruise meals as among the best on the seas. Not Viva.
Thanks for the comments and for watching the video. Yes, I’d heard that the menu in the Haven doesn’t change at all. I just can’t understand why they do that. You are paying a big premium to be in the Haven, so would expect the very best, not the same menu, day after day.
You don’t speak loud enough. Buy a microphone that attaches to your head & the mic is right in front of your mouth.
You can get one that does not stand out.

For Onda and Cagneys, were you allowed 2 apps and a main? Or was this the food for your table? Just looking at menus and figuring out what we want to try :) It looked at Onda like you were allowed an app, pizza, pasta and a main???

Since I got over Covid many foods I normally enjoyed were now tasteless. I’m used to spicy Mexican foods and this surprised me. When you mentioned that some of the food was tasteless I wondered if you were post Covid…
Thanks for the comments Christina. I first caught Covid in March 2020, it was hideous and I still suffer the consequences to this day. I’ve had Covid 4 times now, but I never lost my sense of taste. Actually we had Mexican food last night and it was delicious!

Great reviews. as always. It seems that the food on this ship is up and down... some foods are great, others are terrible. I don't think I've ever seen you give so many '0/5's on a ship before.

which line has a better food in your opinion? Norwegian, holland america or princess cruises?
Hello and thanks for watching the video. It’s a difficult question to answer…. You won’t go hungry on any of those lines. I think I’m going to say Princess. I found the food on Holland too repetitive and although Norwegian was good, I think for me, Princess are consistently good, especially the Crown Grill.
