China Aquarium Fish Market Travel Vlog. We went to Guangzhou aquarium fish market and it was absolutely amazing! I'd say paradise if you're into aquarium fish honestly.
Gore Yep! In every U.S. fish store I visit, none of those qualities exist in unison. You usually get one out the list, but rarely all. My LFS has pristine water, but dead fish are constant, especially in crowded tanks. I’m finding it hard not to harshly judge U.S. fish stores after seeing China through Corey’s eyes.
How awesome! Got to actually see the market store where the big green arowana came from. And the fish...it is astounding how many they have centured in one location. We have never had anything like this in the USA.

That market place is unreal! Luv it.. I must visit, although wondering how customs or importing fish, canister filters, media, etc.. how expensive it would be?? It's unreal prices compared to here in the states i bet?? Those aquariums were digital!!! OMG!!! EXTRAORDINARY!! I want one but import cost🙄🤦♂️.. I feel like we are behind in technical aspects of fish keeping compared to there. What's your take?? Agree, disagree??? Great video broh'😎👍👍
What amazes me is 1. Water is SO clear in ALL the tanks-especially considering the notoriously bad water quality in that area. My 2 tutors in Guangzhou said even bottled water you have to be careful with! My son is currently in Beijing but is considering moving to Taiwan instead of staying on the mainland-main reasons are pollution and not trusting the food/water quality. He’s only been sick twice, but our Chinese friend from Chengdu that he works with, was fighting for his life a few months ago, traced to “fake beer” he got in an upscale restaurant. 2. I haven’t seen a single dead fish in ANY of the tanks or plastic tubs!
PS. I found your channel because I’m going to start my first tank in over 20 years. Nothing huge, just want to start easing back into it. When I move to my daughter’s down South in January, one thing she REALLY wants to do is transform her backyard into a Japanese Tea garden with a pond and Koi. My Son is going to help us out because he can get things so cheap over there in places like this

So amazing ! Whatever you need they have it. From plants to driftwood to artificial plants to tanks to fish to filter ..... you name it they have it. I didn’t even know China is so advanced in fishing business.
I live nearby, many small fish tanks are waiting for goods at local aquarium shops, where the fish are sent to other parts of China, and the fisheries that are transported back to their farms at night will not stay on site.
What an amazing market! Love the vlog, those Arowana and amazing huge, crystal clear tanks with huge fish in them. I wish I had a $1 for every time you said 'crazy' or 'insane' LOL

wish shops in the uk stocked this many plants for aquariums at cheap prices. Small plants cost £4 each for a tiny thing or you have to buy un rooted cuttings which more often than not, die within 2 weeks.
That's your first trip to China? The market in Guangzhou is 100% all retailers. The wholesaler and fish farms are located by the Pearl River and along the coast. Not easy to find but there are savings up to 80% for several fish. You just need to figure out who have an Import Export License.
It's almost unimaginable how can there be such an enormous market for fish and aquarium stuff. Its a pretty stark contrast to the situation in most of the United States where the hobby is struggling.

Oh Ill bet they were pretty, I LOVE plants too. Both in the aquarium or just house plants. It does suck that it wasnt easier to take things back home.

Amazing, must have a hell of a filter system. Lots of water wasted with daily water changes is my understanding.
Wow there so clean too. Walmart does the same stocking but all there fish are dead and tanks are super dirty
