I miss low fantasy armor sets in WoW.
The questing gear is still pretty low fantasy. Most of the dungeon gear too.
@@Neothunder240yeah but Org still needs a damn seizure warning because of how dogshi* the armor artists are in WoW. Particle effects are a krutch for lazy design.
@@Neothunder240 The vrykul helmet reminded me of the nordic armor used in skyrim and other games.
the war within datamine has a whole slew of new sets based on various professions (not in-game crafting professions but actual medieval careers) that have a great low-fantasy vibe.
There are SO many in the modern game. Play recent expansions and do some quests and you'll get them.
Well done! This set would have felt right at home in Howling Fjord!
I kinda regret not showing it on a Vrykul. Would be a perfect fit but sadly I lacked such vision

Fitting you add the green mace in the Dragonborn set video. That mace always reminded me of the Mace of Molag Bal

I loved the way you added the armor piece by piece. Really gives every piece its time to shine, and builds up hype toward seeing the end result!
Petition to have the Dragonborn be in every future mount video. Seriously, it turned out so good.
I was a bit on the fence to start with, but the final product speaks for itself - looks absolutely fantastic, both complex and simple at the same time, great work.

And only dream. Blizz adding another playable race in WW, with a possible second, and neither are vrykul.... despite the community been wanting that for ages.

It is incredibly how completely identifiable it is both as skyrim armor and wow gear at the same time, I'm genuinely so impressed, and on top of that the design is great as well, absolutely looks like a natural part of both games.

By the way 1:53 that type of chest armour is real, called a cardiophylax.
This is great! I love watching the coloring/texturing so much. Would love to see more elder scrolls stuff in the future if you're up to it! Maybe Oblivion horse armor from that beloved dlc lol
As I was watching the making of I was kinda on the fence about it, but once you had it all done & in the environments you sold me, bang up job.

I will say that the only pieces of feedback I can give you on this are that the pants might need a bit more clutter, because they look a little barren, and the shades of brown you used I think will fade into the background compared to the more vibrant tones of many WoW sets. Other than that, stunning work, 9.5/10!
Great video, might be cool to do a Warhammer Fantasy crossover, especially if you'd take the Mark Gibbons artwork as a basis since he was a concept artist on Tier sets for WoW as well.
i know, it'd be a hellish amount of work with all the small spikes and stuff, but now i wish, you'd do the daedric armor some day in the future in the wow-style. Thank you very much for this! watching your videos makes me appreciate wow's artstyle a lot more, but also hits right in the meowmeow when you think how blizz itself uses the artstyle :(

This turned out so well! Very cool. Never cared for the original armor design, personally, but it really pops with your subtle adjustments to make it fit the WoW aesthetic better!

you did a really amazing job adapting the thickness, proportions and (for want of a better word) cartoonish-ness of this set to match WoW's art style.

Okay, this was a brilliant idea for a video, and the execution equally so. Would love to see more of this kind of crossover thing every now and then, if nothing else it shows an even higher degree of creativity and probably pushes your skills to grow even more
This got to be my favorite video of yours so far. It’s so good! I really enjoy your remakes of legendary wow sets, weapons and mounts, but this is next level. This is creating something entirely new, this is your interpretation, your tale. And it turned out soooo goooood
I've been playing both Skyrim and WoW a decent bit recently and was thinking how cool it would be to see Skyrim in a more WoW design or even WoW in Bethesda design so seeing this was really interesting and all that!

I'd love to see all of the armour sets from Skyrim crossed onto a wow model. Weapons too!! An oversized Dawnbreaker would be so sick for a Paladin.

Considering we're going back to Northrend in The Last Titan, fingers crossed we get something similar for questing sets. I mean, look at how cool the Arathi questing ones are from TWW. A man can dream...
This is truly amazing skill, man. I'm not sure how worth your time it is, but it would be awesome to see Arthas Lich King armor updated and modeled for the player character. The cloak is the only thing I'm not too sure how you could make work though.

I've always been complaining about Plate sets not having enough variety, instead all being shades of knight. Especially Warrior sets. Just occasionally, sets that look more barbaric would've been dope.
Now this. This is pretty much what I wanted for ages. It's criminal that Warriors don't have sets that look more like this. I would mog into this, 100%. Good job.
On the topic of Warrior sets, and if you're up for challenges, actually, I'd like to challenge you to try and make a sort of barbaric looking Warrior Tier set. Feel free to go buck wild, but the only real rule you should follow here is that it can't be full plate. You have to show off those muscles, right?
If it helps with inspiration as well, the Flame Giant model from WotLK has an awesome look to it. Dude has bracers made out of worn and battered shields he's probably looted from dead guys, is wearing all hide and leather, but more importantly, he has a Proto Drake as a cloak, which is fucking awesome. Look to the Flame Giant for ideas, trust me, there's potential, especially with the Proto Drake cloak.
Amazing work, this is what wow armour should be more like. Really makes me wish wow armor was updated so everything was not just a skin texture for most of the the armor.

Hi Tomkek, great video it is as if you have read my thoughts because TES and WoW are my favorite franchises i would love to see more of this crossover kinda videos and i think you really did a magnificent job portraying Skyrim in WoW style.I hope that Blizzard will considers something like this in World of Warcraft via Colab and making it available inside the Trading post.
I also liked that you showed us some with different colors and the surprise at the end was very welcoming. This video really made my day because right now im in my "playing Skyrim for the 1000th time" phase.
Another thing i wanted to ask you, how did you learn this and by that i mean what program do you use and did you teach yourself.

Don't beat yourself up for the stuff you make, leather, and especially fur, are a real pain in the ass to look good. And I think you pulled it off quite well as a first attempt. Can only improve from here
Love the content, but I gotta ask cause I see it all the time. When you're working on the topology, and it's focused on the front, do you have a secondary tab to view it from the side open? Or do you have another way you do it?
I basically work on the actual model on my main monitor, and have a second window with a static view open on my other monitor. I film that one to get the timelapse that I use for my video.
