I appreciate the attention to detail when he calls Faust a medical genius, seeing as how Faust helped Johnny cure May
Faust gets no character interactions in strive, its nice that be has one with Johnny
While the line is special, it feels like it's is not specifically towards Faust.
If they ever add Fanny to the game, there's a high chance that they would just reuse that line for the intro.

There's a lot of good dynamics here, but I love what he's got with Gio. The gal who normally is trying to hit on people is immediately uninterested when Johnny tries to flirt, and the obvious ties with them having some sort of past is just great. Also Gio's va sounds so perfectly *mildly annoyed* in their first encounter. The "F*ck off, politely" energy is immense

I need to know the lore because it's kinda clear that they know each other on an almost personal level.
We don't have any, we know nothing of Johnny pre jellyfish pirates, and gio is new to the franchise, all we know is gio had a criminal history and goldlewis gave her a 2nd chance. Odds are it was with Johnny for a bit but then she "went on her lone wolf act" and Johnny would make the jellyfish pirates soon after
Perhaps she was an orphan too and Johnny tried to recruit her?
Johnny was on a run from authorities until US President Vernon granted him immunity because of him helping the main cast in previous installment. It is possible that before that, she was one of people sent after him.

If you want the lowdown:
May is a war orphan during the crusades that Johnny adopted, MOST of Johnny's crew that have names are made up of orphans that he adopted and raised.
May loves Johnny, probably because of his extreme rizzing skill.
Johnny sees May as an invaluable family member and nothing more, considering he sees her as his daughter.
Considering Johnny adopted May, raised her as his own kid, gave her a purpose and is basically Johnny's second in command and its Johnny, its not surprising to see why she's into him.
Also May is in the range of being 18-25, but we don't have an exact date, most GG games take place weeks between each other.
