La liga always has the most technical players and you need technical ability to thrive in that league. Not to mention barcelona played madrid who imo is the worst opponent to use a high line against and they beat them 4-0@beastfootball1782
A beautiful and well explained video as always. However, I don't enjoy the EPL bias. Especially considering the fact that there is Barca who plays this at an elite level. Also Bayern too. Use their stats too to support your conclusion so we feel like you are actually universal with your knowledge and research rather than just only EPL. Other than that, great video again. Superbly well explained

Looking at how alert and coordinated the defenders need to be really puts into perspective just how impressive what Pau Cubarsi is doing is, especially because he is just 17.
I play amatuer games sometimes as CB with extremely high line. High line is a huge advantage since you recycle the ball constantly and have more shots, but those runs from center line to your box are exhausting to the body! Basically you compete with the fastest player of the opposition in leg races. Low line is much easier to play for defenders, attacking squad does the running and defenders are resting which is more sustainable for a long season. Also sometimes a tactic where a defender receives the ball and shoots the long passes forward switching the sides of attack (Virgil van Dijk). Here you need space and time so low line.
To the guy saying this is an epl page It’s not Barca ‘s line stays on the halfway line- for more offsides Other teams go further up for counter pressing Barca plays the high line for yes- counter pressing and also offsides…which only works after the halfway line
If you want to play this high line make sure you have the right player: 1. High mobility 2. Ability to win duel 3. Ability track back 4. Ability to do alot of sprint The good example is spurs team and the bad example is Manchester United. If you try to press with player like rashford, Casemiro, maguire, lindelof then its suicide so dont try
i mean.. i‘m not an elite manager. but playing this way in the sunday league does not work, whether you’re a fantastic or a bad manager. there is no linesman and no VAR. playing this way would result in a lot of goals conceded because the ref 50/50 whether he will use the whistle.
Barcelona has to be the most successful with this high line tactic, because their defenders are still young and insanely fast such as Cobarsi. I dunno which big team has a chance against them this season, they're just monsters now.
They are yet to meet a team with INTELLIGENT, direct and pacy attackers and visionary midfielders (KDB-esque) who know how to beat this trap. (Bayern's wingers were not direct, Mbappe was unintelligent despite having the pace).Check out how Osasuna breached that high line to score.
@jonathananipa9847 lol. You just negated your entire point with that Osasuna example. @@ochintianuka7866 Ha! I do watch the games and I know what I'm saying. High line is very easy to breach by quality opposition players (intelligence and creativity) no matter the quality and cohesion of defenders. I bet Flick wouldn't try it against Man. City.

I will always respect teams that play with a high line, so much intensity and entertaining to watch. Aggressive football is so much fun.
One way or another, you're having fun. They either defend risky and aggressive, or concede huge chances to watch happen.

The reason High line won't work for Bayern is
