WOW,this takes me back to a child hood filled with dirt bikes.I still ride enduro but motocross was/is my first love.As the comment before, the Chesterfield Yamaha was absolutely gorgeous. When men were men and 2 strokes ruled 🤘🏻.Thankyou for an awesome upload of a cracking season of Motocross.
Not from my time but what a championship! So competitive, cool bikes, proper tracks, crazy spectators and starting grid full of bikes, not like nowadays where in some races only 13 riders finish the race. So nice... Thanks for uploading.
Inside the industry, the 1986 production rule and the 4-stroke forced on the industry by the EPA/government(s) put the bikes out of reach and the industry has lost over 90% of the market share it once had. Also add in the state closing off land to ride on, and most rural area residents have to trailer it. Outside the industry, we have a bunch of global commies running the world and economics, and they don't like it when we can make money. Don't expect the gates to start filling up. The government now dictates what we make and ride, no matter what the cost. Someday I predict, they will see the sport as "Non-essential".
Man, that Italian track (round 4), sure has some steep elevation changes. Today's tracks are dirty road race tracks compared to that, (these tracks). No such thing as "squaring off a corner" anymore,----just like road racing. I can rail today's corners with my Harley.
motocross bikes were so ahead of snowmobiles in 1995. Motocross bikes from 95 can even compete today, but snowmobiles from that era would get lapped multiple times by modern snowmobiles ha!

Nope. Suzuki went back to normal forks for a couple years. 95 and 96 I believe.
Maybe 97 and 98 also. Not sure. They used USD before 95. Here is a 92. th-cam.com/video/eBGsbkmuNvg/w-d-xo.html
When Honda put them on in 89, the Japanese USD race was on.
