No major design change ... its time for designing complete new shapes for street glide and road glide

Why change? I look at Kawasaki vaquero and see Harley. If it aint broke don't fix it. All I see is metric bikes trying to be Harleys. My 2 cents.
I believe it is time to do a new design for both bikes! I am sticking with my 2014 nightrod.
Why they look great the way they are.why change good?
I think they haven't changed much because their sales are still going strong. When their sales tank, they will squeeze their brains to come up with new designs. Or maybe they've already had new designs under their sleeves ready when the old models no longer sell.
The next development will be automated programmable gloves pre-attached to handlebars- you put your hands in and each finger holds the bike and has its own function, too. In reality there are three movements in each finger plus the grip turning the throttle, so 26 functions total can easily be incorporated into two gloves,

Does anyone know if Harley will be at the Long Beach, CA -IMS bike show? They do not show as an exhibitor on the show list. Seems odd the HD would not be at such a big event.
I've nvr talked to anyone that bought a hd that didn't luv it...
Bought three new ones over the years, each time I regretted it before the year was up. 1999 sportster custom, 03 dyna convertable and a 12 Fatboy. Still have 3 others bought used that give me shit all the time. My 1977 KZ1000 and my 1988 Goldwing just keep chugging along faithfully.
Harley has to make a Supercharged/Sportster that is faster than anything of theirs 0-60, using carbon fiber- a Harley Lotus Europa Bike lightweight power that says "MOVE".YOU NEED A KING! A KING is a mini bike with a monster motor, and anyone should be able to buy one!

Unless ur talking cvo they are not much higher then the metrics, have u priced them lately? Hd has bikes for all budgets, or even consider buying a used one, they are priced to move...

A bit disappointed in the fact really nothing is "new" in this lineup. Low Rider S is just a re-release on ST frame. Just different colors and finishes. Nothing earth shattering for HD this year.
I agree....couple things they showed that actually were different won't be released for a couple years.

It’s nearly 2020 and Harley-Davidson is still using a chain primary drive in lieu of a gear drive. Still using a chain on the cam instead of gear cam. Harley-Davidson is my brand but they got to step up a bit more. I had to add a gas assisted oil cooler to my M8 street glide when it’s standard on other models.

I don't know if I have lost my taste or what, Ya things change and I am older but I sure loved the 30's-60's bikes. You had to know how to turn a wrench, but every body did then. The new bikes are vaguely familiar, but the mostly look like they are made of plastic and most were baggers, I don't leather, but over priced plastic. It makes me wonder if the older cow boys felt the same way when they saw a car or an air plane.

They all look pretty nice to me! I especially like the Sportster line up. Im sad to see the Dyna line vanish though. It was like the Sportster but with more power. Sad to see it go!

And Harley has made many improvements to all their models. The line up is incredible. Just look at these gorgeous machines.
I traded a 2016 LRS and got a 2018 Lowrider. Near the same power (butt dyno) and MUCH better/easier to ride. Only downside was it didn't sound as mean as the LRS. Looks are subjective.
@@riggs_219 Thats definitely not a Dyna thats a Softail if anything. Dyna line is no longer.

That red Heritage ,I guess high end customised, looks damn good, why not offering a bike like this in the 2020 lineup?
They do! On their website, they say they are offering the chromed-out model but with the smaller 107 motor. One was just delivered to Denney's Hd in Springfield mo. so I can say it's true. This is great! The Heritage is my favorite Harley but no way would I ever buy one of the blacked-out models.

Same boring design. The CVO are the nicest but with insane price tag.
Being 2020 we wondered what new equipment an innovations but are we disappointed by just new paint?! Also, the fenders either seem too big or too small on models, the red paint seems to have too much orange in it. All these bikes need LED lights in all positions! An lot of these styles have gone back the same for years! Everyone of these bikes will be water cooled in future, might just do it now! Thanks, Tim p.s. I'd like to see bike viewing with professional to explain each advancement on each bike an send hours instead of 30 seconds per bike!
I'm disappointed in the paint. I wish they would leave the reds alone. I like last years better and the year before that even more. I'm old too old school I guess. I hate the blacked out look. I'm one of the guys that thinks you could never have enough chrome on a Harley.
I agree regards too much black. That's OK if you like it . How bout a Chrome option.

Ive purchased 5 new Harley's since my first in 1982 and loved them. I do believe Harley has made a serious blunder the last 15 years by not sticking to the basics. They continue to make too many models (as seen in this video) which has saturated the market and dropped resales on used bikes. Most Millenials don't even know how to ride a bicycle so you are wasting your time trying to create something they like.

Too little time spent on the all new Adventure bike. Its looks amazing. Of the new bikes i did not see the 1250 Custom. I guess that one is too special and will need its own big reveal
I love HD's, I have a 1986 FXRT I bought new, just sold my 2009 FLTR which I also bought new. But to me, correct me if I'm wrong, but all the new bikes are way to "flashy"..Not my idea of cool "stock" bikes...Don't jump all all over me people but I think Harley is makin the bikes way to expensive for the average person these days...I'm gonna stay with my old RT..

No More Dynas Im no longer interested. Never paid more than 15 grand either. Bought 5 new bikes out 10 I owned. Guess I will explore the used market. FTW
If you've never ridden one of the new softies you should at least test ride one. Unless you're going for hard core it will surprise you. They handle better, accelerate better and are lighter off the kickstand. Sound isn't as good as the twin cam (subjective) but they are better to live with on a day to day basis. Had both new. Just an opinion.

Wow,I always liked a harley,i dunno whats happen since my 1968 Flhd,but back in 1981 you guys cane and photograph my electra glide without the bags and told everyone it willie Gs idea and at the time tou only had the lowrider coming up,i see this company again has lost its way,you should of bought indian out when you had the chabce,you got the volvo mentally guys, and need to quit putting the good old boy system that got at all the Harley dealerships hiring wanna bees that dont ride to a stop and quit hiring over educated designers that cant design a rug
