Travelers from Europe were common in Tamil Nadu at least a thousand years before this temple was built. The Ankle Bracelet Tamil poem describes Greek sailors in a port city not that far from modern Tanjavur in 200 bce.

LOC is a reality, Patriotism is another level. Respect both. We should update the map after we have POK and Aksai Chin controlled by our forces and people. But keep in mind its not a possibility given the fact that india is a peace loving country and it involves 3 nuclear neighbors. I rest my case.
Our geography lessons need an update..

Nice work, I never noticed all this when during my several visits. In fact the kings from India have had connection with Sumeria, Egypt, Arabia, Persia, Europe, China, and Japan. There is a recorded incident of Pandiyan king sending his emissary to Augustus Ceaser during his coronation. The world, and Indian themselves looked down upon themselves in a self-loathing way. Thanks to Western historians who twisted every thing to rule them for 300 years.

Very interesting. I visited this temple and also noticed how the shape of the temple resembles the top of Mayan pyramids (Tikal). Hindu scriptures mention a highly developed personage named Asuramaya who learned the basic cosmic cycles. Several Maya statues depict people crossed-legged performing some form of yoga, just like Indians.

Very interesting things in this one thousand year old structure.
Two things to be noticed -
    1. This is the best amalgamation of ancient Indian engineering, geometry, art and religion.
    2. These two faces are definitely not Indian and still the King ( about whom I read that was very powerful and was controlling entire eastern Indian belt, part of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Cambodia ) has put them in the sacred the place and this says lot of about the Hindu society.

Brihadeeswara temple courtyard was seized by the Dutch and used as army barracks for a brief period of time. After looking at the statues on the gopuram apparently one of the soldiers decided to have some 'fun' and hired a local sculptor to make this in the likeness of a dutch soldier! This information was provided to me when I had the unbelievable opportunity to get a totally private tour of the entire temple by a archaeological civil engineer and architect (PhD)(who works as a consultant in restoration projects of old temples, churches and mosques). This was in 2010. That time there was restoration work going on and scaffolding was all around the gopuram. He took me and my family up INSIDE the gopuram (via a special access door in the side meant for the chola king) where there are 1000 year old fresco paintings of the portrait of Raja Raja Cholan himself, his guru and a breath taking scene of a celestial procession etc.

This Temple built in the year 1010 CE by Legendary Indian Chola king Raja Raja Chola. It's turned 1000 years old in 2010.
But Roman and Greek traders frequented the present day Southern India, securing trade with the seafaring Indian Tamil kingdoms of the Pandya, Chola, and Chera dynasties and establishing trading settlements which secured the trade with the Indian Subcontinent by the Greco-Roman world since the time of the Ptolemaic dynasty.

Nestorians where in the south of India at this time and also were operating out of the Levant as well as having hubs in Rome and Constantinople. The pre-Catholic Christian world stretched from India to Spain, this is not taught today as Islam, Orthodox and Catholic sects surpassed the old ones like Coptic, Arian and Nestorian all of which were in communication and competition around this time.

OK Praveen, the jury is out on whether this person is 'European', but there is no resemblance to Robert deuxieme (the second, not two). None, except for a seemingly Caucasoid nose. Next, I assume you meant 'Caucasian', not 'European'. Third, the silk road included India well before the Common Era. It included the Roman Empire, as well. So there was plenty of physical and cultural commingling before the building of this lovely temple. More than a thousand years before. Are you familiar with the red-headed Caucasoid Chinese mummies? While much of there Caucasoid ancestry was Siberian, some was Indian, 2000 years ago. I love your channel, and have learned a great deal about the rich history of India, as well as of your theories. So I mean no ill when I point out that you may want to re-investigate your time lines. Please continue your work, your research is normally very meticulous. Thank you.

The Indus Valley civilization, which corresponds to the criteria used in the construction of the Temple is significant
The temple was built using a measure of 1 3/8-inch called an angula (24 units equalling 33 inches called a hasta, muzam, or kishku). This is the same measure found in ancient Lothal and other sites in the Indus Valley dating back 4000 - 6000 years

Sir, only some parts of the temple were constructed in 1010 AD, though they include the oldest structures in the Brihadeeswara Temple complex. But many of the smaller shrines are newer, For example, the giant idol of Nandi (giant bull) facing the temple was not part of the original construction and was added only in the 16th century AD. The Ganesa temple behind the main shrine was built in the 18th century by the Marathi Bhonsle dynasty (1674-1855 AD) and has Marathi language inscriptipons. Mporeover, the main shrine itself was constantly renovated over time. The European is doubtless a later addition and there exists sufficient proof that the sculpture was not made in 1010 AD.

Thanks you have enlightened me quite a bit.
You are also helping India a large amount in many ways. One through your outreach to the English speaking beings gathering understanding and interest and profit through tourism.
I heard on news how India population now equals where China was when it had its so-called modern expansion one good way was through Education.
Wisdom and education of the masses is so very important IF we are finally to become all we can be and the freedom I so crave. You my friend are playing a part, thank you. ❤❤💫💫

Can you cover Phimai, Thailand a.k.a Vimanapura. Its supposedly the original Angkor Wat and has carvings of Anunaga and also large reservoirs like Angkor, its a small scale copy of Angkor. I have never seen it covered and I am very interested because I have family who live there.

The first emperors of China lived in the mountains of Kun-Lun, in the foothills of the Himalayan system. Available chronicles suggest that nomadic tribes moved along the mountain systems. Because water runs from the mountains, and this gives life to the meadows and herds of tamed animals.
In 630g the monk Xuanzang arrived in the city of Turfan. He crossed the Tien-Shan through the Bedal Pass, and came to the Issyk-Kul, near the town of Przhevalsk, then he moved towards Cholpon-Ata, where we told two accessible passes. But if we go further, there will be Bishkek, Tashkent (Chizhey), Dushanbe, Termez, Peshawar city, in the Kabul region - the territory of Gandhar (Empress Gandhari and her brother Shakuni were from these lands). The famous monk Xuanzang from China, known in these places as Fasyan, in his notes called the Peshavar stupa superior to "its beauty in everything that is in Jambudipe." Then Fassian enters Mathura (where Sri Krishna was born), in fact the monk described the cities he passed through, the Kuru region, he was told about the battle in these places on Kuruksetra, then he went to the place of Buddha’s enlightenment, then turned south China. In this way, he made a circular motion around the Himalayas.
If the governments of India and China agree, then the trial route could be launched in a circle, along the Himalayas, where most of the points coincide with the path of the famous monk.
It was possible to pass through simple passes to Issyk-Kul, from Issyk-Kul to Almaty for three days of walking or two nights. From the western coastline, the road leaves for Kochkorka, from there to Naryn, and through the pass, the road leads to Kashgar, China (9350 li from Chang'an). From Koshkar to Purushapur, the “city of Purushi” is within reach. Naryn tract leads to the mountain lake Son Kohl.
It turns out that it turns out that I managed to visit almost all countries, and these places where the monk went are familiar to me. This suggests that it would be good to mention the enlightened Emperor Tang, as well as the remarkable monk who became a well-known conductor of good-neighborly relations. Put memorable steles on passes from China to the west.

Hi thank's for your videos 🙏😊🙏
I watched this one few month ago and be impressed by the hat of that man and subscribed to your potential theory.
These last weeks I saw two archery videos about old Chinese fights and surprise ! Some of the chinese people got hats like on the carving.
Ex: in the movie "war of arrows" you can see on youtube.
I think the man on the carving is raver a high class chinese man closer from India than a european for exemple.
To be clear, it's possible that europeans travelled asia in the far past, no problem , but in this case the chinese influence is easier.
Go on it's so interesting 🙏😊🙏

Sorry to disappoint you. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) as well as other researchers (Kudavayil Balasubramanian et all) have done research and have proved that the European's figure was added only during the era of Raghunatha Nayak (1620). This Nayak ruler was in alliance with the Danish (Denmark), who were colonizing the near by areas (Tharangambadi). Further, the figure is actually a mould made out of limestone. Evidence: Rajarajeswaram - book written by Kudavayil Balasubramanian - page 479. Let us not mix folklore stories with history and make it an Indian masala.

While searching for this carving during my visit to the temple in 2012 I stumbled upon two even more intriguing carvings. One was them was of a young western woman in what clearly is a modern western dress! Another one was that of a demon that was wearing a helmet, goggles and some kind of space suit! Were these mere works of imagination or have to do with something they saw ! I have shared these photos in my facebook and my friends were astounded to see them!

    • @rrshankar2000

***** That is what bothers me! If the sculptures are representations of real people they had relations with then what about the sculpture of a helmeted dwarf wearing goggles? I found that sculpture also in the same temple gopuram! It was unlike the mythical weird beings we usually find in Hindu temples...this one wore a helmet, a sort of suit and a goggle with the nose bridge clearly visible! And it was not human, just a dwarf! Was it an alien?

I think the sculpture man with hat shows a tradesman / explorer- not the king Robert 2 of France. This does not match the time and fashion.

Dear poster, thank you for making video on Indian culture. Just to correct one small thing. India was well connected with rest of the world even before the birth of Jesus christ. Yu - an - Shong, and so many other travellers had travelled to Indian univirsities viz. Nalanda, Takshasheela (Taxila), Vikramshila, Valabhi, Sompura n few more. Vasco Da Gama never invented India. He searched sea route to reach India, as it was becoming expensive for Europeans with taxes on goods while exporting from India to European countries through Peshawar road n sequential countries. Amerigo Vespucci who was selling to search the sea route to India had reached American land which was new land for the Europeans and he name there local people as Red Indians and after that the land was named as America by the name of Amerigo. Please dont blur our glorious history. We love our culture and belief.
