      She is a big girl she has to get her weight in food. I mean is it that much of a surprise it would have happened eventually that whales or other wildlife took a good chunk of the salmon it was their food source first we have been killing them off by taking it and by using our boats in the waters they live in. Kind of arrogant to think they're reserved only for humans or be upset when this is nature being nature.

    - Many fishes dying in the ocean because of plastic problem

      I very much doubt this behavior occurs from a lack of prey in the wild. This is probably due to the nature of hatcheries, densely packed groups occuring recurrently every year which makes for a low effort, high reward prey which is consistently available yearly

    • @marieslabbert6009
      @marieslabbert6009 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @kys You must be very uninformed. Sharks are one of the most important links in the sea ecosystem. They clean up the ocean. Without sharks the ocean will eventually be a stinking soup of decaying sea animals.

    • @Automedon2
      @Automedon2 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ij6708 The whole reason for the hatcheries is because the salmon have been over-fished. The salmon (that are now almost gone) were the food for many other animals. They didn't exist to feed humans.

      What are his alternatives? Let's say he tries to built dome sort of steal fence or gate along the perimeter of the pens; the whale then hits them, possibly injuring itself (massive EPA fines) and possibly damages the pen ($10,000s to $100,000s of repairs to the facility). Maybe placing concrete pilings at 6 foot intervals along the mouth of the inlet; thousands of pages of paperwork, months of bureaucratic haranguing, tens of thousands of dollars in process fees, lawyer billable hours, court fees, and even if it gets approved, if the whale hits them and is injured...massive EPA fines.
