Hi, Is that the headroom they worked in or has it filled somewhat? I agree with the rubbish statement, It infuriates me how people will leave their rubbish anywhere & everywhere. The good thing about the old mines my family worked is that noone knows they are there & noone goes there. Ill try to dig out the old video footage from 1991, its unfortunately low res skip field analog digitised but better than nothing. Cheers Daniel.
Hi, it looks like it's had a fair bit of clay wash in in heavy rain, as it's the lowest point of the open cut there I'd say a foot or two of clay has filled it. It was still a very, very tight space to work though even with a bit more room. Yeah it's disgraceful out in the bush these days, rubbish all over the place, my car looks like a tip as I'm always picking it up. Not to mention the graffiti in a lot of mines. Post it up, I'd love to see it, low res is better than no vid ;-)
Yes we do, not the Sydney 'your going to die' version but more of a 'curl up in a ball and cry for your mum' sort. I'm always keeping an eye out for snakes and spiders, not a problem if you spot them first.
Oh it was tight! I'll use a bright headlamp next time I go into one that small, the spotlight and backpack got stuck a couple of times, hence breaking the connection on the light.
Great video, watched a few of your’s recently and am now subscribed…so keep ‘em coming…all very informative 👏
Thank you for the comment and the sub, glad you like the videos, there is a few in the works at the moment so plenty more coming ;-)
I’ll have to come out with you one day.
