The video really makes it look like this spot is fully elevated, but right behind it is just a huge area where dinos can spawn constantly.
It is elevated off the ground, they can't really get up to you no? Either way nothing a few gates can't fix if im wrong😆😆😆

the location is really good, there is metal there, and along the river below there is a beaver dam, and close to the redwoods for looking for sap, actually I wanted to make a base there but because I played at the official, the place was already occupied by someone else 😄
and yes that is a very perfect and unique building there, I like it

A possible idea if you would consider it, would be to make list of materials for the interior and possibly an interior tutorial even if that’s a separate video, however love this build!!

Awesome! This base is perfect for the center!! You totally should and I did do the elevator 😁. The flats creepy TV isn't a mod, it's just canvas next to eachother painted black 😄
Never would have thought using canvas as tv but I think I have good spot in my base it is a variation of the first Cliftop base just a much bigger Garage. Thx for your great videos always a great inspiration and nice way to chill

Absolutely amazing build! I am a bit late but it so so awesome watching you grow, and you definitely deserve much more recognition for your content! I do have one question however... Near the beginning you placed a wood quarter foundation by scrolling with the triangle one. I can't seem to be able to do this, any idea why?
Just checking, are you playing on Ascended or Evolved?
Ive been meaning to ask. I see you use the skinny pillar to cover up the small gaps you get when using the quarter wood walls. But I never understood why you dont use the 2nd quarter wall option. Wood is the only one that has a left and right sided quarter wall. Standard is the bottom part and 2nd option is the upper part. This can reduce the costs of building (tho i do think the pillars give more detail)
This is a great question and the answer is, I'm too lazy to press the button to swap the quarter wall back and fourth to the right one. So instead I just do the skinny pillars. 😂😂. Arguably more work in the long run.
I really wish Wild Card added quarter railings to go along with the quarter ceilings or I wish there was a mod for it 😭

amazing build. i’ve been working on it all day and the only thing i can’t figure out is how to put a pillar on top of another one where it only stacks half a block, like you did at 35:55
Hey so for me, I snapped it to the quarter wall above the big wall and below the roof, so if your cursor pointer thing is pointing at the quarter wall, it should, in theory, snap to it like mine did and work I hope XD

I really love this design and I'd love to use it for another game, but it's just way too big. I'd like to see this at about half the total footprint.. can still go just as high, but not so big on the foundational level
You can for sure just scale my whole build down if you would like XD, just need to half everything, or 1/4 everything 😁

Do you know how big the base is? Like what is the size if you count it by the floor, like 1x1, hope I make sense 😅 I'm on the Island but would love to try and find a spot for this beauty of a build, so it would be handy to know the size so i can play around with it!
I would say (I think) you need an area of Depth 10 foundations x 16 foundations width.... If you say like 18x18, that gives you the full base plus a bit of a patio/decking XD

I love your builds, but I wonder why you place your wooden walls inside out. Just aesthetics? Cause I think regular side out is much cleaner and gives a more loggy vibe.

Not a silly question at all XD, no i'm not, i's just the "Greenhouse wall" which you can craft in your ARK world. I can't recall if you make it in your own inventory or in the smithy, i think you might have to craft it in the smithy... Hope this helps XD

Ahhh that's because the switch is "ARK survival evolved' not 'Ark Survival Ascended'.... However, I do have someone on my discord server who managed to build this on evolved, it looks fantastic! He did use mods though as hes on PC, not sure if you can use mods on switch?

you should contruct without creative mode, it looks better that way, this is unrealistic
I have made this on a survival game, but when I do my tutorials it's of course easier to show through creative mode 😆 I have a survival series where I do a few builds as well 😁.
