Cheslin is probably the only rugby player that makes you look forward to seeing him play. The reason: you just never know what he’s going to do, which way he’s going to step, how quickly he will accelerate through a gap and so on. It must be a nightmare for an opponent as he’s gone before you can see or tackle him. That is pure magic, pure skill, pure God-given talent. One other footballer comes to mind, Lionel Messi. The two of them are the same when it comes to skills.
There are a lot of other footballers that come to mind. Zinedine Zidane, Michael Laudrup, Ronaldo Lima 9, Ronaldinho, Bergkamp, Iniesta, Maradona. In Rugby Union football you have players like Dupont… But I agree that Kolbe is such a player who can always surprise you in a good way.
I am not South African but I really like this chap. He is seriously talented and I hope he surrounds himself with the right sort of people rather agents who just want to make money out of him. He has everything balance, hands, speed and that step is something to behold! He seems very sincere and humble, and I think it's these attributes that will serve him well. Don't listen to detractors. Good luck to him and I hope he can inspire a lot of people from his community and wider that you can better yourself in life.
When i watch cheslin play i ask myself who does he remind me of....and guess what he doesnt remind me of one rugby player...but there is one person....and that is lionel messi.. Just watch messi play soccer....then tell me you dont see cheslin....cheslin plays seven aside in a fifteen aside game....he stops the game on a twenty cent piece yhen excelerates out of now where....he is able to contrpl the pace of a game and the space around him...his awareness is ahead of the pack....his focus is ahead of the pack....just look at the uncertainty of the opposition around him....theyre in fours and sixes....not knowing when to tackle him and when not to commit to tackling him.. .they have doubt....and thats what makes this young man brilliant...mhe is the face of the future of rugby....gifted beyond measure and yet grounded to his core both on and off the field..he is a sight to behold and perhaps the greatest superstar .....even bid than sonny bill williams in my book...but dont take my word for it....watch him closely....you can bet his opposition is
Living in Cape Town for the past four years, I've had personal real experiences with violent, manipulative and criminal coloured people(some), and this guy here is a timely reminder that the coloured community too, does have humble human beings with hearts of gold.
I think he might have to move to Europe and play international for france or England. I don't think boks will take him since size is very important to them.

sad that his 29 yrs old now bt only had less thab 35 caps for the boks at his talent he should b chasing 100 caps by now,,,,,injuries perhapse and the fact that he was scounted later on by Rassie who gave him springbok contract and the quoter system helps in a way....otherwise he will b just another black talent waisted or not choosen
Size matters in international rugby. Everyone that said Aplon would be an amazing rugby player for the boks. When they picked him he was an utter waste of a field space.
