I think that is amazing that First Snow is topping the charts!!! These guys are timeless.
Xiumin is their jack of all trades. He can easily take over if you need excellent choreography, he’s there (body rolls, anyone); vocals, his is angelic, sweet, strong; even rap.
Sehun has been getting many more lines lately, showing his increasing maturity. He and Chanyeol have their own sub unit SC. Check out some of their performances.
First snow is number 1 in all big plataforns in Korea now, after more than 10 years!!!

Kyungsoo is the one who usually sings the most in exo’s songs especially in the early albums but as he don’t do high notes that much, people don’t realize that

I don't think he has listened to many of the songs where D.O comes out, or he hasn't listened to him solo, they don't like everyone in Exo but for me D.O's voice comes out, I love his voice and I have listened to all of Exo's disco and everything about D2ensolitario, whether it's their albums or covers...
With Exo I don't have so many high notes because it's not his job, that's what Baekhyun is for, and especially Chen, he said it himself in Lee Mujin Service, in Exo everyone has their place and he does what they ask of him, you just have to see him in the short with Suhyun from Rewrite the stars or in the cover of James Arthur or in some of his songs as if you were mine...

Baek and Chenie notes are really very high and during this period he was very exhausted, becoming noticeable in the vocals

If you like Christmas Day, you will love December,2014!! It’s really underrated and im sure Exo themselves forgot about the song but not me, it’s one of my faves and would be happy if you listened to it! 💓
Christmas Day is my favorite EXO Christmas song, but I have a big soft spot for First Snow. I just love the little melodies and the flow of vocal parts idk something about it feels so well planned out in a satisfying way. They usually do sit while performing it, so it's definitely a bit of a breather song for them I think. In 2018 D.O. posted a little clip of him singing the opening line of First Snow on the first day that it snowed in Seoul and since then, the song charts in South Korea each year when the first snow happens. This year, a fan started a dance challenge on TikTok that went super viral and basically every kpop idol and their mother did the challenge (including 7/9 EXO members -- Kai couldn't bc military and D.O. hasn't done it (yet?) because he's pretty allergic to social media/dance challenges lol). First Snow hit #1 across all four S.Korean charts and then won Music Bank this past week. Pretty wild for a 10 year old song! It made EXO the highest charting boy group on the S. Korean charts this year.

Yes chen during exoluxion tour had imense fatigue to the point he said he nearly lost his voice being assigned most high notes

I also rmmbr another clip where he was with baekhyun and they were discussing how he damaged his throat so bad he nearly lost his voice (If I'm not mistaken it was an interview during cbx concert)
Chen is impressive singing but it has to be difficult, I listened to two singers and I think they are also vocal coaches in a couple of reactions from Exo that Chen although it doesn't seem like it he tries very hard making the notes he does and when he does it for a long time he has to get tired, there were people criticizing them and they didn't say that he did it wrong or or sounded good just that they could tell by his throat, jaw... That those notes required a lot of effort and when you're doing a whole concert doing it ...

Thank you Oha, Christmas Day is considered that sensual Christmas song, especially when the organ comes in, and Kai makes it more apparent with dance. Rant all you want for Kai, he does that to everyone.
Other Exo winter songs, GoodNite, The Star, Been Through, Fall, Wait (my favorite) Lights Out (Chen wrote this, a beautiful vocal flex from the 4 main vocalists)
And Oha, although it's not a genre I would gravitate towards, but certainly has it's own following, I applaud your creation of Valcata's music, and I love opera, just never synced it to heavy metal guitar and drums...Such an undertaking to say the least...
The Valcata album....are you kidding me? What an experience...Stars took me in, Horror Machine took me out...
It was an epic journey till the end, simply amazing. I kept visualizing each song as it would be seen on stage...the costumes, set design, colors and props, setting the stage for the narrative....the foreboding feeling of looking towards the galaxy to find a new home, surrounded by crucial connotations of a race of people on a dying planet....absolutely intriguing, and in a balanced operatic style. To hear you have a part as well, along with the amazing vocalists and incredible musicians and input from people around the world....and am I correct, all accomplished ONLINE?
DAMN OHA, you certainly have a genius streak in you, and the the foresight to bring your chaotic vision to life....I bow down to you sir! What it must be like to live in your mind for a moment....and you are so CHILL for a composer who should have ADHD....
I'm sorry, I digress from Exo, but I have so much to say about Valcata, I LOVE ARCHANGEL...the trip it took me on.....all Valcata music...definitely a style I would not normally listen to unless I'm in the mood for metal....and I have a hard rock metal affinity for many bands that, to my friends, would make their eyes cross...hey, a serious pleasure of my own that results in headphones and headbanging with a mock mic, all alone in my delirium...happy as can be.
From Pavarotti to Rammstein to Eminem to John Williams, my appreciation for all types of music is my choice...for symphonic metal opera...the dye has been cast in my direction....and it's quite an honor getting to know you Oha.

Lightsticks are a very important part in kpop concerts, almost every group has them with indivisual design, EXOs lightstick has a different design than showed in this concert, but for some reason I noticed that in 2015 EXO-Ls used this ones
They’ve had at least two different designs for the eribong.

Before the black eribong, this was the official lightstick at their first concert. It was like $5-6 usd I think.

When EXO first debuted I had a ChenLay bias but Miracles in December solidified Chen as my ult (& everything you said about Chen's vocals for this performance (good & not so good) was 100% correct).
Don't worry about your "critical opinion" here because exols came to professional musician's reaction knowing we're about to hear things like this. I also agree with you that Chen in the last song here sounds a bit strained compared to how he usually sings (nowadays) and I think it's because this performance was almost a decade ago when he probably hasn't developed better technique, also it was the last song on this list so he could be a bit tired after a long performance(?)
Just watching your old reactions, 7 months late but so worth it. EXO has been my fave group for many years for a good reason. And can I say it was a treat to …..see you do a reaction sitting comfortably in an armchair! You should do that more often 😊

As for winter songs... there are so many good ones but they aren't always that "christmasy"... Universe, Sing for you are popular ones (the title tracks), the albums also have some feel good songs and some unique (in a good way) ones like Lights out for example.
I definitely think I’m overdue regarding checking out their solo stuff, so I’m going to make it a priority!
Miracles in December is one of my absolute favorites. Promise is another. Chen and Baekyun have the most beautiful duet I Really Didn’t Know. I highly recommend checking that one out.
