@@MathewMcKenna Yeah lol. I think they just wanted to keep the vibe of the franchise grounded in reality a bit to enhance the magical elements (I feel like a big part of the appeal was the feeling that it could be real), so having a specific cultural influence was helpful in that. It's one of the things that sets this franchise apart from other fairy franchises, in my opinion.

*Fun Fact:* Tinkerbell's character design was modeled after Margaret Kelly, who also voiced as the red-haired mermaid in the Neverland lagoon from Disney's Peter Pan movie. Some say that she was modeled after Marilyn Monroe, but it was just a myth.
Anyways, Tinkerbell films are underrated and it shows that Tinker can speak more than just ringing bells.

Even the Pirate Fairy did this.

Context for the ending with the music box:
TinkerBell found the music box in many pieces on the beach in the first movie and was able to fix it, as she is a tinker fairy. She brings the music box with her when the fairies go to the mainland to change winter to spring so she can find who had lost it, which ends up being Wendy from Peter Pan.

At the end of "To the fairies they draw near" Tinkerbell used Pixie dust to help her carry the music box and give it to its rightful owner who is none other than Wendy Darling herself. Tinkerbell was such a huge part of my childhood and truly had an impact on me and my relationship with nature, I'm 23 years old and still enjoying these movies like a happy little kid I was when I first saw them. 💚 Maybe someone has already commented this but in case not: Tinkerbell movies are based on the time Tinkerbell hadn't yet met Peter and work as a backstory of hers. There are 6 movies, the first one being released in 2008, so it makes sense that you got the vibes for that. 😌The songs hit 10 times harder when watching the movies 🥺💚

That second to last song was about the fairies turning winter to spring on 'The Mainland' which is London. They change all of the seasons manually for humans. This was a special visit because Tinker(inventor) fairies, the ones in green, aren't usually allowed to go to 'The Mainland'. Tinkerbell was allowed to go because she impressed the Queen(the one in gold) and she had to return the music box to its rightful for owner. Clank and Bobble(the male tinker fairies) were allowed to go aswell as they carried it for her. You should watch the actial movies to get more context on how they prepare for seasonal changes and the all around lore.

Loreena McKennitt sings “to the fairies they draw near” and lots her songs are Celtic inspired! My favorite song of hers is the “Bonny swans” which is a take on the “twa sisters” story (where a sister is drowned in a river by her older sister over a man, and when the sister’s body washes up to shore she’s so beautiful and pale that and little girl mistakes her for a swan. Her bones are then turned into harp by a passing Harper and when brought before the girls parents and family in court the harp plays by itself and reveals her older sister’s misdeeds)

There are actually full soundtracks of songs inspired by the first 2 Tinkerbell movies, as well as an album for the 4th movie compiling some old and new songs.
Also, if your comment at 11:10 is anything to go by, I think you would like a show called Winx Club(only the first 3-4 seasons though)

16:35 The two fairy guys sprinkle fairy dust on the music box so Tinkerbell can give it to a little girl. She lost it and, apparently, it was on Pixie hollow's beach (Where all the fairies live) I hope it helped you 🙂
The songs are so cute in thoses movies and the music is divine! the animation is well done too!

I haven't seen all of the Tinkerbell movies myself, but if you do another of these, two of my favorite songs from the ones I have seen are Strange Sight and If You Believe!
Also totally relate to still feeling that sense of magic and nostalgia from Disney songs like these, even when they're slightly cheesy 2000's pop songs

Oh, you should totaly watch those movies! I think you would love them!
They all have their own little story to tell, but here is a rough sinposis of the first one:
There are different types of fairys, most of them beeing elemental based (water, light, wind, etc), and than there are the Tinker Fairies. When the seasons change from winter to spring, the elemental fairies go to the mainland to bring the change of seasons. Tinkerbell, aka "Tink", is a fairy that was just born, and her goal is to find a way to join the journey to the main land.

Fairies in the lore of the movies are in charge of the change of seasons so you saw them bringing winter to the mainland where humans live. The music box was something Tinkerbell fixed after she found the bits washed up and she was going to return it to the human who lost it!
(Others have already mentioned it but The Great Divide is an amazing song from the series. To this day its still on my playlists)

Haven’t seen all the movies but as soon as I heard “to the fairies they draw near” I perked up and knew it was Loreena McKennitt.
She is Canadian but from Irish and Scottish descent so you were not wrong thinking it sounded Irish.
I grew up listening to her. She has been making amazing Celtic music for decades. She can play multiple instruments too. Extremely talented lady.

Context; in the clip with the little girl Tink is teaching her about the different fairys
When the fairys go to the main land, they are making it turn into spring.
Think found a broken music box and fixed it, so when they sp4inkle it in pixie dust she is going to bring it to the girl that lost it.
    I two, LOVE THE LADYBUGS!!!!!

17:43 I love Selena so much, too! Back before she was an A-list celebrity, she would tweet back her fans in the morning. I tweeted her about my bullies, and she told me to keep my head up and that they're just jealous of how beautiful of a person I am. After she said that, I did not put up with my bullies.
She is still an inspiration to me today, and our lives sort of mirror each other, so I feel like I go through things with her.
Whenever I would go through a bad break up, she did, too.
We both suffer from conditions that absolutely wreck our bodies (she suffers from Lupus, I suffer from Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) and we both recently found out that because of our medical conditions, we shouldn't biologically have children. We both also suffer from mental health issues.
I often have dreams about us becoming best friends, and I hope that happens someday.
