    Great video like always. These games have been great for all the at home time with the kids. Can you cover the card game Mille Borne or more yard games like corn hole.

      Oh, Mille Borne is a great game! My dad bought it for our family because he remembered playing it as a kid.

    Great video! I've played parcheesi, but I've never heard of Ludo.

      I've always played parcheesi, but ludo is nice for a fast game

      Parcheesi is the American version of the game, while Ludo is the British version. Both come from Pachisi, an ancient strategy game from India. Ludo has since been developed further into Uckers, a partnership game of strategy favoured by Royal Navy and Commonwealth troops.

    So basically it’s Sorry, but instead of cards it’s dice?

    • @reillywalker195
      @reillywalker195 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, although Ludo is the older of the two. Both come from the Indian game Pachisi; Ludo is the British take on it, typically regarded as a children's game but with enough going on to make it decently fun for adults.

    Can two pawns be killed by the opponent if they are in the same block

    Can you do a tutorial on how to play Trouble or Aggravation?

  • @reillywalker195
    @reillywalker195 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Many descriptions of this game don't allow players to create blocks and outright forbid players from playing a piece onto a space already occupied by another of their own pieces. Instead, a player must move a piece to an unoccupied space or a space occupied by an opponent; if that can't be done, the player must pass their turn or, if their most recent roll was a 6 and not a third consecutive 6, reroll.

    A similar game is Pachisi uses 2 dice has more strategy elements,

    Having playing Ludo since my childhood so I felt that you didn't tell some of the things as we played in India that is even if you roll out one you can still move out a piece from your from your home and also the word is not according to what we play

    • @reillywalker195
      @reillywalker195 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's a common variation in Western countries, too. Being a folk game, Ludo-which itself comes from Pachisi and is closely related to Parcheesi-has several rule variations where it's played.

      Cap. You can pass a block if your two are stacked and you roll two of the same numbers that lands on the opponents stack. (But you need two dice)

    Is this an india version of sorry?

    • @reillywalker195
      @reillywalker195 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Ludo and _Sorry_ were both derived from the ancient Indian game Pachisi. Ludo was developed in England, where it's popular as a children's game.

      Not just a Kids game. Indian Moguls used real young women as pieces and moved them around a huge board (in the original Parchisi).
      Not sure what the rule about jumping on them was.

      @@gameon2553 Backgammon and Pachisi are both about as old as each other with conflicting dates and definitions but at least over 1000 years old, while Ludo emerged as recently as 1896.
