I really need to register my kayak, it's been far too long since I have been for a paddle along the stour. I love the river, it's so peaceful just going with the flow and seeing the various wildlife that lives along the river. I've had the honour of seeing an otter with her young and lots of other animals while out kayaking. There's even a giant Japanese koi carp (obviously a pet illegally released) that I've seen a few times near henny. You get a unique perspective from the water. I've never been further than a few miles down stream from Sudbury but I always enjoy the journey and there is always something interesting to see.
I really enjoyed this. Whilst working on the construction of the Kingfisher Leisure Centre back in the day, i used to scull & paddle there. It's a great way to approach wildlife. Silent. I also enjoy your interest in pill boxes & fortifications. Keep doing what you do Joe 👍🏻
Absolutely yes! Its been too hot on my days off with this heat wave but now the weather is turning I will get out and finish this route to Cattawade :)
Lovely. The reflections on the water were beautiful. Enjoyed the video.

As soon as I register my kayak, I'll be going for a paddle along that part of the river. It's the only good thing about Sudbury.
Its so lovely along the Stour
