In fact, keeping a goldfish in a round bowl (where they have no corners or edges to "hang up their memory of their territory on) can even be concidered cruel, a square tank is preferable. First off I love this R2R series! Secondly, you can click on random items in the house and the option “what’s this?” should come up and it helps with the thinking skill. You can level it up really quickly that way and you can queue up several of them. Also, clicking on the toddler themselves and clicking “wander” will get their movement skill up. Hope that helps!
I'm pretty sure you were clicking "lock doors for All pets" then doing "lock doors for everyone but household members" which I think cancels whichever one you chose first out BUT maybe if do "LOCK DOORS FOR ALL PETS" then allow access for your individual Sims it should work!!!!

To solve the front door issue you could lock for everyone and then allow access to the individual sims (I think if you allow access to household members it will include scooby but you can layer access for sebastian, luna, raggy and richie)

Yeah, that's what I usually have to do with my sims and I've yet to have an issue with it. Just a pain in the ass having to re-do it every time because either A: New pet. B: New kid. Or C: Kid aged up. But it does keep strangers out of the house and pets on the lot.

Look, the sink is broken, they're eating ham and cheese sandwiches/mac and cheese for breakfast, Raggy is naked, the laundry isn't finished - James, at 30:38 : No, this is good, we're back on track
I think it's just a glitch. My sims have been taking hours to do simple things that took them just a few minutes. Sometimes time just passes when I have things queued and they don't start them for an hour. They just stand around and do nothing. These glitches are getting horrible for gameplay. It's especially bad during events and on lots that aren't the main house. P.S. someone is planning on suing EA for all these constant glitches lol. I honestly agree with them. It's as if they don't test everything in the game before they release patches and new eps.
Shadé Palmer that's what's been happening to me. I can only play for an hour before its gets too unbearable. So many sim hours wasted just standing around with queued actions. I agree they should be sued. Some people have spent a few hundred dollars on the game and it's full of glitches that make it practically unplayable. They need a a massive patch
QuartzGrace I found that fast forwarding to speed 3 for just a second or two usually gets them going. But it doesn't work 100% of the time. EA was just a bad studio to give such a much-loved game to. We all know how shitty they are as a company... not that we could have controlled it, but we can still complain lol.
Shadé Palmer usually I try pausing it for a few seconds to try and give the game a chance to catch up. Otherwise it's just better to restart the game if the idling is just blatantly out of hand. There's no money in free patches but if my game worked properly I would buy more of the expansion packs. I'm sure others would too. They are just losing money and hope in the franchise by not doing the right thing. But they also know many people will buy every gimmick they throw at us no matter how broken it makes the game. Idk if this is a battle we as players will win.

You could get the city living planter from debug for more colors but I don't know if it charges you - what about using one of those backyard stuff butterfly or flower garden stakes as a label? Color code them and moo place them in the center of planters?

You can lock door for everyone and then 'Allow Access to...' household members. I don't think the Lock Door function ever stacked, but you can stack by the Allow Access option... You can add flowers to the washing machine by upgrading it. Also, it used to be that there were like 10 evolution levels for plants and there was a flower icon showing how happy the plant was, and it had to be fully happy for a while in order to evolve. And it was impossible to keep track of how close a plant was to perfect because half the evolution levels were named, like... Superb, Splendid, Magnificent, etc... and they all seemed the same.
Could still be glitched OR I know spliced plants take longer to grow. But every time you harvest a plant it resets the growth cycle so James just needs to be more patient and let the plants fully grow before harvesting.

Fish are the best fertilizer, the doors definitely used to stack locks, the honey quality is based on your relationship with them. Loving watching this series!

It doesn't work with all items but it works with gnomes, so it would be easy to get them to do "what's that" on each gnome in the garden. Queue it up!

Love this Rags to Riches series and i adore the way you are going about making this one different to the others that you have done. Bad Luck with the crash last time, it happens to all of us. greanted not all of us are recording the games we play to post but you made the best out of it that you could, and honestly, if you had not said anything i would not have noticed that you had to re-play up until that point again.

If you want to lock the doors for pets and strangers, lock door for everyone and allow access to every sim that's allowed to go through them separately
Fish are the best fertilizer, the doors definitely used to stack locks, the honey quality is based on your relationship with them. Loving watching this series!

I think my favorite part of this series is that having sim toddlers is exactly like having real toddlers. All the way down to the “pretty sure you just shat in that chair” and the constant debating if it’s too early to put them to bed.
It would be cool to have a Bigwallet family reunion at the original emporium.
That would be cool but most of them would technically be dead by now and also in different save files so they are not linked to the same family. Bummer .

I think this is that one episode where you managed to nail all of the sim interactions and have a perfect productive day! It surprisingly gives me so much joy and satisfaction, I find myself being a bit unreasonably anxious when it feels like all the sims are not doing what they are supposed to do 😅
