This is what you call classic police intimidation tactics which are designed to instigate a negative and/or hostile response from a person/suspect to self incriminate. PC Larry Connolly started off professional and respectful towards Mat but when PC #1276 showed up and intentionally obstructed Mat's right to travel by blocking him on the sidewalk as he was leaving, PC Connolly's behaviour and attitude quickly changed. PC Connolly then proceeded to escalate the situation further after PC #1276 had already provoked Mat in attempting to go hands on which the auditor quickly responded by smartly backing off in an attempt to stop the officer from making physical contact with him and probably to try and de-escalate things as well. But after Mat had moved away from PC Connolly in an attempt to create a safe space for himself the officer immediately approached the auditor in an aggressive and intimidating manner, willfully violating the auditor's personal space which he had just created. PC Connolly at this stage was showing signs of becoming frustrated, annoyed and butthurt because his authority had been challenged and personal character was being mocked by Mat due to his lack of professionalism trying to handle the situation, which had broken down at this stage. PC Connolly made a sarcastic remark to Mat of: "I'm already famous" when Mat stated to him that he was going to be famous, this was the officer's feeble attempt of trying to act smart and brave in front of his other 2 colleagues to minimise his embarrassment as much as possible. Although PC Connolly was unprofessional I actually had more of a problem with PC #1276, he was solely responsible for escalating the situation in the first place, had he not been there or impeded Mat the auditor would of simply left the restricted side road without any drama whatsoever, he had already showed a willingness to leave the area anyway.
PC Connolly just had to demonstrate what a prat he was. He was fine until his mate showed up and then he felt he had to revert to type and go into bully mode, or maybe felt he had to show off in front of the female officer. Why do the police have such contempt for the public, then they wonder why they are despised by so many. They have to be narcissistic and paranoid.
Again and again we see vids of these parcels. They know damn well you are no threat, they are plain nasty, probably hate their job so bully and intimidate like kids in a playground.
I can't understand why the bosses don't want to look at the footage of these thugs escalating a perfectly cordial encounter, to make it worse than it needs to be,I would want my place of work(police station) to be a place of respect and peace,not the case in this country in most cases, Well done again mate,

Can't speak for Mat, but there were no signs don't go in there. Before you say, your house doesn't need signs etc, these are public buildings. If no signs, anyone can walk in until told to leave. That's how it works.
