When Samsung didn't have the higher refreshing display every tech TH-camrs were making it sound like a huge disadvantage to Samsung's flagship saying OP7 line-up has 90hz disply and its much but now Samsung implements 120hz and they say it's not a big deal? The S20 has :
    1) Better cameras ( larger sensors )
    2) Better screen ( higher res and faster refresh rate )
    3 Expandable storage
    4) Better performance
    5) Larger battery

i own a Note 9, and owned a Note 5. each time i used the stylus for about a month before i totally neglected using it and many of the "power user" features so i'll never get another Note again, it just isn't suited for what i need it for. I am an artist and i always thought i'd get a Note because it would allow me to draw in times and places where using a tablet or sketchbook wasn't feasible, but after trying to draw with it once and i was a Hard Pass. And now that Samsung is going to update the firmware to allow S20s to use QHD and 120hz refresh and it seems to me that the S20+ with its full 5G suite suddenly becomes the most attractive option.

It's an easy decision. S20 has sd865 which is about 20% faster than 855, more OS updates as it comes with android 10 in the box, 120Hz display, faster charger, better camera and better video because of snapdragon 865, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB storage in base model, 5G. There is a difference, but it's not much because with a QHD panel it still has to push all those pixels even when lowered in resolution. If it's an actually 1080p panel then the battery consumption is then noticeably lower because it's less pixels to push in reality.

This is dumb, all those elements are as a whole, the s20 is better in every way, justifying by saying "yeah but the average user won't notice the difference between 60 and 120hz" is wrong and useless, if the average user doesn't need those things then he don't need to buy a 700 or 900 dollar phone in the first place.
That same way of thinking can be applied to push someone to buy a 3-4 years old phone, like "yeah that huge display is nice, but do you really need one that big", let's all buy a 3310 and we'll all be fine.
And btw, the note pen isn't as useful as you're trying to sell it, you could use the same argument for the camera of the s20 and say "well if you like to take pictures with your phone then it might offer something better with the improved sensor,..." But you didn't.
It's like you're making an ad for the note 10 but it makes no sense since it's from the same compagny

Wireless power share is great with the Galaxy buds I already use, and I was torn what tablet to get to fit between a phone and my Surface Pro 6..... the 10+ is big enough for the occasional video and I can now skip replacing my broken Fire Tablet and my aging Kindle paperwhite too. This device is big enough to read and the occasional binge watching.
Just my 2c. I was looking at the Note 10 and then decided that the little extra is worth to pay for a plus.

I use the same refresh rate on my computer, and yes, it makes a huge difference to use 144hz. However, on phones, it's kinda hard to sustain the same opinion because of the form factor and how much fluid we already achieved on flagship models.
The average user will barely feel the difference and battery life will get a hit with that, something that everyone notice.

Dawg...come on man, there's multiple tests that have been done that prove that the battery life difference between full HD and WQHD is negligible at best. S7 to s8 is a huge difference
S9 is an improved version dual speakers and a few changes

If you have the money go for it. The f diference is huge
If you want to save some cash go for s10 its still a very good device and its not cheap neither but should give a good experience.
What irritates mes about s20 is the reasons they give you to buy it are pure marketing
5g no one has it yet, x100 zoom its not usable horrible zoom if you do more than x10 (only x4is real more than that is digital)

Since I would barely use the s-pen (and let me preface I'm an iphone user so i can't consider either of these), I would go with the S20 I think. As you mention I would like the bigger display of the note, and the aspect ratio is so much better (I like the horizontal area that is lost with the narrow aspect ratio of the s20). However, for me personally using the ipad pro on a daily basis and then going to all 60hz screens (iphone, imac), the 120hz makes a big difference. I'm mostly scrolling content on my phone and being able to read while scrolling slowly makes a difference. And I also use tmobile in the US. So although it may be 20 percent better than LTE with the sub 6 5g, 20 percent better is still important for me, especially living in the northeast where LTE coverage (at least in my area in Connecticut) is not giving me fantastic speed....
