I have been battling endometriosis for years and I was told I would never have a baby . One day, on my way home in a matatu the song that was playing was “usikiaye maombi “ . I cried the whole way from town to my home because I thought God had forgotten me and If Indeed God listens why was my life a mess .I had seen mothers enjoying time with their children and it broke my heart when I thought that it would never be me and I would never get a chance to be a mother . I dint know that day that God had already answered my prayers . When I slept that night , I dreamt that I had a baby . I woke up wondering why God was playing with my mind but I still decided to take a pregnancy test and behold it was positive . I am now a mother and till today “usikiaye maombi “ plays a special tune in my heart.

This story has reminded me of what I have gone through for the past 3weeks now, my mind so flesh like yesterday, loosing my 1st born baby, and then going through a period of sickness,, but God has been there for me, healed me, I am a living testimony, bcoz He has given me another chance to live again, preserved me to fulfil His purpose and for sure I know He is still with me helping me to overcome what I went through. I am fully encouraged by Kathy's testimony, and I still have faith He is a God of restoration, He will put a smile on my face again. What I take today is; In my seasons of waiting I allow God to lead me and help me.
Goodness! 11 months later... I have watched this whole testimony! But Lynn, how do you listen to this kind of testimony without shedding a tear (or did you and I did not notice it?)! Men! I have cried and cried and cried! I thought I had suffered rejection, but NO.... Not this kind of rejection! I think I could have left the earth many years ago if I were in her position! But God gives grace to His own! He gave her sufficient grace for this TOUGH battle!
It's clear from the interview that she understands it wasn't her mom's doing but a force behind; her mom's predicaments mainly having several children & not being able to provid. Sadly as a victim of "conception-rejection" it doesn't really matter or reduce the pain of parental rejection, when you trace the root cause of their reason behind the rejection. What helps and what sustains most victims of such circumstances is purely THE MERCIES OF GOD.

Saw your comment and realised how much in the spirit you are. I was from watching a certain preacher called James Kawalya teaching about "battle of the chosen" and he explains why they seem to face battles after battles because of the calling of God upon their lives. Now I know God wanted me to watch me this documentary too.

Rejection as a born again is so real and almost normal. I went through rejection from my mom and siblings after my dad passed on. I saw fire. Insults, bad mouthing etc My siblings upto date tell people Im a witch, devil worshipper, etc but I found total peace from the Lord of Peace, Jesus Christ. Almighty God is and Has always been there for me and my family and gave us a dad who really cares for us. Trust Almighty God in every situation, He will wipe your tears and give you peace and love. Agape love. Ps note: When you have a calling and Holy Spirit gifts and you need to minister in the body of Christ, these spiritual attacks must come your way. I call it Spiritual college
Kathy isn't just still standing, she's thriving! The Lord has given her beauty for ashes, strength for fear and the oil of gladness for mourning. It's a pity some have established "churches" where they are the heads, Christ is not the Head.
This lady's music is a blessing in my life. Even one time during fasting for a baby...day 2 when i was asleep the holy spirit spoke to me through her song "Yupo Mungu mbuguni asikiyae maombi yetu". Kathy, that's both touching and inspirational story. I was wondering the cause of your mother's behaviour but half way you answered yourself that it was generational. But one among the siblings can break that generational curse. It is doable Kathy. You can also purpose to break it at this stage on behalf of the family. Do not hate your mother but understand her from that perspective and the information you got from your father. I affirm you and your father Kathy. His patience and accomodating a woman that was wounded from her upbringing was laudable. Great man of God he is. Folks, as we all listen to this moving story, maybe in our own life purpose we can interrogate self from deep within to find out what our own story is like and if at all, the challenges we are going through that needs review. Each one of us has a unique story only that we never have a chance to tell to the world for others to learn something. What we can do is, take keen interest on Lynn show privileged stories and use them to better your own. While some stories sound so weird as Kathy's may sound, we cannot condemn such a mother. A mother is the most compelling person in everyone's life without whom, life can't happen. It just happens that the same mothers are human too that have their own stories, childhood traumas, generational curses and life's challenges. We should embrace our mothers, irrespective of what they take us through because through their stomach our life happened. God has a reason why He takes us through so much pain that sometimes we doubt His existence but the good news is, there is always an happy ending. Many Kenyan mothers do mistreat their own blood daughters just like Kathy's mother did, but the good news is, many of such daughters end up very successful in life. Forgiveness is the best and only option one has, not hating the mother back. Forgiveness is one's sure way to the inner peace not a benefit to the tormentor. You can't hate a parent who caused you to come to life. Other than the generational curse ladies(mothers), do you have any other reason why you should mistreat your own child? Is Kathy's story teaching you anything regarding your parenting style today? Is there anything you can do different to help your children as the first role model to their future life? Let Lynn's show serve serve as any other good stories guys. Good parenting is intentional and as a primary caregiver, there is a lot expected of you. Your children's life is as good or bad as your patenting style. You accord them poor parenting they end up badly but when you give your children proper parenting, the end result is incredible. Our children deserve understanding, friendship and love all the way. Where their time to get a partner comes, allow them freedom to choose. After all, their future is all about them and their own peace. Let them be guys. Kathy deserved her man regardless of his status. Parents, just bless your children for if you reared them well from the beginning, their choice cannot be in vain. Young ladies looking forward to getting married, two things(1) rejection by your parents/s is not the end of your life just like parents refusal to acknowledge your choice of partner is final. Do not opt to take suicide but keep hope alive. Life doesn't stop because a challenge happens. Challenges thickens you and makes you better. They are part of life. This is true. Even for the pastor who refused to officiate her wedding all of a sudden that was the devil at work but Glory to God that Kathy's marriage is still standing and will continue to stand. in 2021 I went through a difficult period of sickness and my mother told me I should not worry this was her reference song she had heard it and told me to listen to the song and remember there is a God in heaven who hears all our prayers. Just tell Him he will hear whatever your problem is. No one understood what my problem was. Not even my mum so she referred me to this song. I'm glad am still listening to it and 2021 is over and I am better.
I found this song in my most broken time in my life. When all i could see in my life was darkness. My baby and i were facing rejection from someone who should have been our hiding place. It really encouraged me.

We share the same story,when my father died I was in class 6 my own mother started cursing me telling me I will grow up to be a prostitute,Nikitumwa nyumbani na mwalimu sababu nimeenda shule bila vitabu za handwriting and a teacher wants you to do his/or her homework My mother would tell me to go to the grave of my father resurrect him to buy me books 😢😢it was really tough for me, have suffered rejection all since then until I came to nrb after schools knew who jesus is and the rest is history.I'm at peace now.

This story has reminded me of what I have gone through for the past 3weeks now, my mind so flesh like yesterday, loosing my 1st born baby, and then going through a period of sickness,, but God has been there for me, healed me, I am a living testimony, bcoz He has given me another chance to live again, preserved me to fulfil His purpose and for sure I know He is still with me helping me to overcome what I went through. I am fully encouraged by Kathy's testimony, and I still have faith He is a God of restoration, He will put a smile on my face again.

Goodness! 11 months later... I have watched this whole testimony! But Lynn, how do you listen to this kind of testimony without shedding a tear (or did you and I did not notice it?)! Men! I have cried and cried and cried! I thought I had suffered rejection, but NO.... Not this kind of rejection! I think I could have left the earth many years ago if I were in her position! But God gives grace to His own! He gave her sufficient grace for this TOUGH battle!

It's clear from the interview that she understands it wasn't her mom's doing but a force behind; her mom's predicaments mainly having several children & not being able to provid. Sadly as a victim of "conception-rejection" it doesn't really matter or reduce the pain of parental rejection, when you trace the root cause of their reason behind the rejection. What helps and what sustains most victims of such circumstances is purely THE MERCIES OF GOD.

Rejection as a born again is so real and almost normal. I went through rejection from my mom and siblings after my dad passed on. I saw fire. Insults, bad mouthing etc My siblings upto date tell people Im a witch, devil worshipper, etc but I found total peace from the Lord of Peace, Jesus Christ. Almighty God is and Has always been there for me and my family and gave us a dad who really cares for us. Trust Almighty God in every situation, He will wipe your tears and give you peace and love. Kathy, that's both touching and inspirational story. I was wondering the cause of your mother's behaviour but half way you answered yourself that it was generational. But one among the siblings can break that generational curse. It is doable Kathy. You can also purpose to break it at this stage on behalf of the family. Do not hate your mother but understand her from that perspective and the information you got from your father. I affirm you and your father Kathy. His patience and accomodating a woman that was wounded from her upbringing was laudable. Great man of God he is.
Folks, as we all listen to this moving story, maybe in our own life purpose we can interrogate self from deep within to find out what our own story is like and if at all, the challenges we are going through that needs review. Each one of us has a unique story only that we never have a chance to tell to the world for others to learn something. What we can do is, take keen interest on Lynn show privileged stories and use them to better your own.
While some stories sound so weird as Kathy's may sound, we cannot condemn such a mother. A mother is the most compelling person in everyone's life without whom, life can't happen. It just happens that the same mothers are human too that have their own stories, childhood traumas, generational curses and life's challenges. We should embrace our mothers, irrespective of what they take us through because through their stomach our life happened. See how beautiful and smiling this awesome Kathy is today courtesy of the challenges she went through under her mother. God has a reason why He takes us through so much pain that sometimes we doubt His existence but the good news is, there is always an happy ending. Kathy's story ended well, yours too can end the same way.
65% of ladies in Kenya can attest that one of their parents was unkind to them. Many Kenyan mothers do mistreat their own blood daughters just like Kathy's mother did, but the good news is, many of such daughters end up very successful in life. Forgiveness is the best and only option one has, not hating the mother back. Forgiveness is one's sure way to the inner peace not a benefit to the tormentor. You can't hate a parent who caused you to come to life.
Other than the generational curse ladies(mothers), do you have any other reason why you should mistreat your own child? Is Kathy's story teaching you anything regarding your parenting style today? Is there anything you can do different to help your children as the first role model to their future life? Let Lynn's show serve serve as any other good stories guys. Good parenting is intentional and as a primary caregiver, there is a lot expected of you. Your children's life is as good or bad as your patenting style. You accord them poor parenting they end up badly but when you give your children proper parenting, the end result is incredible. Our children deserve understanding, friendship and love all the way. Where their time to get a partner comes, allow them freedom to choose. After all, their future is all about them and their own peace. Let them be guys. Kathy deserved her man regardless of his status. Parents, just bless your children for if you reared them well from the beginning, their choice cannot be in vain.
Young ladies looking forward to getting married, two things(1) rejection by your parents/s is not the end of your life just like parents refusal to acknowledge your choice of partner is final. Do not opt to take suicide but keep hope alive. Life doesn't stop because a challenge happens. Challenges thickens you and makes you better. They are part of life.

in 2021 I went through a difficult period of sickness and my mother told me I should not worry this was her reference song she had heard it and told me to listen to the song and remember there is a God in heaven who hears all our prayers. Just tell Him he will hear whatever your problem is. No one understood what my problem was. Not even my mum so she referred me to this song. I'm glad am still listening to it and 2021 is over and I am better.

Kathy, you are a blessed woman. You are a true reflection of what God can do. Your songs have inspired me. Your song 'Kuna Mungu Mbinguni asikiae maombi yetu...' saved my life. The message in that song especially helped me to learn and keep trusting in God. Walk with your head high up. You are the head and not the tail. Your story is a painful one, but there is one who understands. He is God. He came to this world and was rejected by His own. That did not stop Him from being God.
I second the idea of Guest speakers to use more English for us foreigners. I love all your shows ❤️ from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
