When you look at these beautiful old trail bikes it makes you wonder if the guys back then had more fun than we do with our over complicated dirt bikes today. So simple honest and straight forward.

I owned the same motorcycle in High School. When I was in HIgh School (1969-73) I owned a Kawasaki 175 Bushwacker and a Yamaha 360 (I put a low expansion chamber and street tires on it), both 2 Stroke, Single Piston, Enduro Street and Trail type. We used Blenzalll in the 2 stroke oil tank for a unique smell.

With a downpipe. Squeeze a tiny bit more torque out of a 125 on a hill climb.

@sanfranciscobay I used to ride on the back of a Kaw 175 Bushwacker out on the dikes between 3rd Ave in San Mateo and Belmont in Foster City when I was too young to have a bike. Another friend had a RT1 that we would run up and down Kings Mountain Road in Woodside. Called it the Asphalt Motocross. The RT1 had a bad condenser and wouldn't start again until a piece of sandpaper was run through the points. 9th grade memories.

I would crash through the woods and climb mountains on my hardtail Z50 and imagine I was driving that Yamaha 360 that I had a picture of on my wall back in 71

I was the proud owner of one of these in 1972. It was kinda hard to kick so I mastered push starting it. It really took a beating. We rode it everywhere. Great bike!

And that's the irony of dirt. You feel like you're flying but unless it is flat track or desert or the like, speeds are much lower than street or road tracks.

What an immaculate beauty. The next best thing to hopping in your time machine and going back to 1970 and buying a new one from the show room floor. They don't come any better than this.

I had two of those back in the 70s with Red Stripe. Had to have compression release. One of them kicked back so hard it put holes in the soles of my boots. One kick back smacked the back of my leg and I still have charlie horses on that leg after all these years.

Love It! In the days where Japanese Motorcycle Companies put alot of money into their bikes, and they actually cared about Being The Best. Love the Tank Badge, and the PaintJob. Classy looking and she moves well. This is a bike that Jackie Earle Haley would have ridden, in The Bad News Bears Movie, back in the day, and Arthur Fonzarelli would approve. Lol.. ❤❤.... ML&R

Beautiful bike..... still needs a Bassani pipe. Just like a first generation Camaro needs air shocks and Crager or Keystone classic wheels. Scott Carol. Muskegon Michigan. I saw his 69 last week. Even still has Thrush sidepipes. Some day 2 cars and bikes should stay that way. But? I'm 64.

Had the chance to ride one. I was around 12 years old at a friend's house, in his back yard sat the most butt ugly dirt bike id seen up untill that time, no fenders , no seat and sprayed flat black everywhere. Ugly as it was, i had to ride it. He handed me a pillow to sit on and after a few hard kicks it fired up and away i went , unexpectedly pulling a wheelie and now running behind it as its standing straight up 😂. I managed to leap forward get control and off i went again like a pro . My love affair with the 360 was brief, however the memory remains👍

Nice looking bike. Just so you know most good painters that redo these Yamaha gas tanks do the same proceedure as Yamaha did back in the day. You will still feel the crease in the stripe. You guys need to buy your reproduction parts off KDI Yamaha parts on e-bay or direct with him. He has the best original looking Yamaha parts. The grips you have on this 360 and the DT400 are terrible reproductions. A little tip for you.
