In 🇨🇦 we get the squeaky snow with the frozen eyelashes. 2015 the school wouldn’t close unless the temperature was more then -25 Celsius. 😳🇨🇦

We've hit - 40 here a few times... Almost every year at least once a winter. Maybe - 40 with the wind chill anyways. I dunno... it's cold... But not snow pants, parka, balaclava and toque cold... Maybe its just me? My main winter get up is mitts, sweatpants, winter boots, a hoodie with a lumberjack jacket and a toque. As long as you keep moving you're fine.

I used to work up in Thompson, Manitoba at nights fixing aircraft in -40 °C temps. No fun at all, avionics just stop working at that temperature. First had to warm up the cockpit if the problem was in the cockpit area.
Done that for 4 years, me came from hot and sunny South Africa.

I'm reading the temperature on his analogy thermometer as -40 degrees. -40 degrees Centigrade = -40 degrees Fahrenheit. The only place where the Centigrade and Fahrenheit are the same numerically.

I have always wondered, is it possible to live well in extreme cold on a vegan diet??
It's possible. But very, very difficult. The amount of calories and fat needed to do well in extreme cold temperatures tends to make for a rather unpleasant vegan diet. I've worked in the arctic with vegans before, and even with a catered special menu they didn't last long, it was just horrible on their bodies.
