Loved the field of dandelions! I've always wanted to capture clouds but have never been happy. Your tips on adding depth to the clouds was excellent. I can't wait to try your techniques. I would love to have you do a Tutorial of a team of sled dogs racing through the night with the aurora borealis dancing above them in the background. When I was in northern Minnesota several years ago we stood on a frozen lake in below zero temperatures looking up in awe @ them. I know they're always different, but that night there were lots of pinks & lavenders amongst the greens. It was breathtaking! Thank you for sharing your gift with us. Watching you paint soothes my soul. God Bless. Sincerely, Ann Phillips
I love the way you tell us exactly what we need and how to mix the colors! Yours is one of the most comprehensive step by step that I have found. Thank you for your generosity in teaching us and helping us learn to paint.
Camping under the stars I didn't exactly know where you were going to start with but as you progressed all became apparent as usual very pleasant on the eye Another . one for my collection. thank you.
Excellent! I just started painting several months ago and really appreciate your sharing of knowledge. I have a person that wants me to paint a field of flowers with no sky. It seems somewhat out of balance without a horizon and sky. I looked through your library to see if you did anything similar and how you handled that but did not find anything. Have you ever painted such a project?
Love this one! I will become a patron soon. Thank you for making this instruction possible. My daughter is in college studying art to be an art teacher and she doesn't get this kind of instruction!!!!!

I about had an anxiety attack in the first 20 minutes or so (you didn't clean your pallette knife between colours etc...GAHH!), but I'm glad I stuck with it. There IS a method to your madness after all!! LOL Amazing tutorial, beautiful painting. Thank you SO much for sharing your time and knowledge with us.
This is such a long ass video... BUT... it's well worth watching 😊 . I'm new to your channel so this is my first tutorial. Never knew it'd take this long 😆 But you explained it easily, and the outcome is beautiful. Really, you're good at what you do. Thank you!
thanks Felix this is gorgeous, however my acrylic paint dries very quickly, i'm afraid i won't have time to blend the colours as shown, what do you recommend ?
anne de guernon you can fill a spray bottle up w water and whenever you feel the paint getting dry on the canvas spray it w water, same goes for having the paint on a palette
Thank you Feliks - great tutorial. You answered one question as I am watching this - I was wondering how you kept your paints from drying out as you blended them all to begin with, but I saw the answer...paint faster and use them up before they dry. As a beginner I paint slow and too careful. Do you find the Heavy Body Golden stays wetter longer, than say a Liquitex Basic paint? Do you find the Golden would blend easier because artist grade versus student grade? I find your instruction the best on TH-cam - you are patient, and describe your techinique each step - wonderful and so glad to support your efforts. Also fantastic how you show to make all the colors out of the primary colors - one of few I see do that - saves a lot of $$$ for paint! Thank you again!
I think that would be a great tutorial / comparing the different paints out there. Us beginners have lots of choices. By example even though I can afford a higher quality paint, is it worth to go that route as beginners for example. Paints I see that I think would be great to see you review - Golden Heavy, Soft, and Fluid. Liquitex Basics, Heavy, and then maybe Artist Loft one can find at Michael's by example. I am sure there are lots more.
wow love it! I am afraid to strike colors on my canvas. I am a noob but how would I learn if I dont trike my brushes right? I LOVE THE COLOR YOU CHOOSE. You gained a noob artist here..

Amazing tutorial! I just started painting but apparently, in all those YT tutorials you need an old scruffy brush to make some effects. How does a beginner have an old scruffy brush?
Beautiful painting ! I have a suggestion. There are some small steps you do and don't film like the orange glow on the distant land. I notice those steps are skipped likely for time sake but please mention what you did to your audience briefly so they don't miss that when they try to recreate the piece.
I love your work as well as your teaching style. One small grammar comment. When you say something like "more straighter" you're being redundant. You can say straighter or more straight but not more straighter.
Cathy - if you get the premium version of TH-cam (not the TV version), you see no adds. It's included for $15/month for up to 6 members with a Google Music subscription, but maybe it can be purchased separately. I could not imagine watching TH-cam videos with Ads popping up all the time. I will never go back.

I wasn't sure how the sky would turn out. Saw all that muddiness and thought oh my. But, once again, you made magic.

You have such a unique method of painting,a bit scary at the beginning with such dramatic colours. But wow what a finish.Fantastic.
I love that you don't wash your brush from color to color like me and go with the flow. Loved watching this video. Thank you for sharing!

Maravilhoso. Adorei.
one question, why do you use several colours to make a brown, which you might have gotten using simply raw umber or burnt umber ? thanks
Beautiful 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️

How do you keep the colors bendable for so long??
Beautiful painting ! I have a suggestion. There are some small steps you do and don't film like the orange glow on the distant land. I notice those steps are skipped likely for time sake but please mention what you did to your audience briefly so they don't miss that when they try to recreate the piece.
It may just be the under color showing through to create a glow where the sun hits the plains but thought it was worth mentioning.
Yup now you have mentioned it. LOL. Lovely effect.
super
What artist loft brush do you use. I can't seem to find those.
Ive been trying to find these blending brushes for quite some time. They never have them available
