Honestly, Dan was one of the characters I used to dislike, but this "arc" is genuinely hilarious and adds so much more flavor to the character. Proper redemption arc entertainment-wise.

People have done or tried to do a number of things to assist him and a lot of those people interact with eachother in interesting ways. He's also able to gain a massive amount of info on what's happening in the city very quickly. From the outside as a cop without OOC knowledge, Yuno being connected to all these powerful people looks suspicious enough, without them trying to do things for him. As such, Dan believes Yuno may also have a lot of power over people but keeps it secret.
