My Dad got me into muscle/classic cars. I have a 1976 Chevrolet Camaro which I keep as a memorial to him. To continue his legacy I'd love to add a 70s Cadillac to my collection. Hopefully in the next year I'll be buying a Cadillac from Nathan, you'll see.
When I saw this car in '79 I said some day I will own one. Hasn't happened yet but a yellow Cad may still be in my future. Nice car, you should be proud.
I had one back in 2005 but I sold it before I moved back to Waco. It was tan with a tan top but it had a cloth pillow interior with a beautiful design in the cloth. I bought it at the Audobon Park Swap Meet in Garland, TX in about 2002 for $3,000 with 41K miles on it--it had just over 45K when I sold it to a vintage car dealer in Pleasant Grove--wish I'd kept it. Signifcant year because it's the last year for the 425 cast iron block. '80 & '81 had 368 with V-8-6-4 in '81. Then it was all over in '82 with the intro of the worthless 4.1 aluminum block with all of 125 HP!
The plastic clips on the back collar of GM columns break which makes them fall back. The clips are part of the column so the collar needs to be replaced.
@YoungOldSchoolRapper Cool man, you still have your whole life ahead of you. I'm 23. Just bought my first car outright. It's a 90 DeVille but it's a work in progress. I love old and classic cars like 80s and 90s Caddys and Benzes and LTDs. ect. I'm looking to get some more vehicles not sure exactly what's next for me.
Hi Nathan. I really enjoy watching your Cadillac for sale videos. You are very honest with the description of your cars. I am sure it is very appreciated from buyers. I would defineately buy a Cadillac from you. But I currently own three Cadillac's. I have owned many of these older models when I was a younger man. Keep up the good work. Thanks for posting these cars.
I have a 1978 Cadillac coupe deville same colors as the one above. has been siting in my grandmas garage for 20 years only has 28,000 miles on it its in mint condition was wondering how much something like this would go for?
Are these things expensive to maintain? Are they reliable? I'm looking at a 1979 cadillac coupe Deville going for $900 on craigslist with 87,000 miles on it.
Not even in 79 it was worth 40k if you paid that you got it without Vaseline bro what are you talking about and I've had caddy's also 12 to 13k no more than that new
i have a triple yellow one with an actual 15k miles it was expensive but with a set of monroe shocks sensormatics it drives awsome i found it ay a kansas chevrolet dealer, and i got it delivered so nice to have a great car, all these have the special zink bodies and they dont rust out near as bad as the big 76 bodies did.
+divaofco good on you buddy.the world needs more people like you who dont mind being laughed at.humor is a wonderful thing.take it easy.and enjoy that old tank of yours.
Haha sure thing. I will enjoy my Benz ML 350. I don't have a caddie but use to when I was younger. I was laughed at but it was a car and those laughing was walking.
i have the same car same color with 14k miles on it got it with 9800 so i know it never rolled over, paid a nice $10,500.00 for it delivered all the way from kansas to my door.
I went to my high school prom in my daddy's 78 coup deville man I miss that cadillac

It deserves brand-new carpeting & proper vintage floor mats.
When I saw this car in '79 I said some day I will own one. Hasn't happened yet but a yellow Cad may still be in my future. Nice car, you should be proud.
BEAUTIFOL i allways wanted a 79 coupe deville ever since i seen one
Also sticker was for a Cabriolet Roof car. That is not a Cabriolet top. Cabriolet DeVilles had canvas faux convertible tops.
Beautiful car, without a doubt.
And that was and still is a great color.
The leather inside is beautiful.

im starting to get into classic cars more then modern day cars
Looking at the ad in 2018. It's the standard of the world.
One knows at once it's a Cadillac. 👍
$ 10,000-12,000k new in 1979. A Fleetwood or Eldorado maybe $ 18-20 K.
Oh I wish it was black, I'd buy it now. =)

Great Caddy!
Also not a D’ Elegance. A Brougham D’ ELegance would have been a longer wheelbase Fleetwood Car. Probably 126K
My Old Bishop had one of these same color and he had a CB radio. That's all he drove was Cadillacs.
i had the build sheet for my former 78 d`elegance coupe and it was 9 k . nice try . dirt merchant
I had a '78 just like this. I had trouble keeping power steering pump bolts in the block. That 425 was a good dependable engine.
Cadillac tradition is cars its sad that Cadillac wont b making cars nomore
@tcatanzaro IF you read the build sheet, it said "ACCENT STRIPE DELETE" this car never had pinstriping
Wow! A Cadillac built in the South Gate Calif Plant instead of Detroit.
*do you know the name of the paint?*
That guy in the movie good fellas had that pink one
@CerealMarshmallows
No, one of the documents you held up (the sticker and/or the build sheet) shows the factory name.
nathan, great video! you don't have a video in a 1978-79 Fleetwood??

Best Car Ever
I'm looking for a 1976 Fleetwood Brougham Talisman edition in dark navy blue.
Nice car but it's definitely 126k miles. Some valve clatter heard on the run. I thought that the '79's had the chimes and not the buzzer sound?
Do u think this will make a good first car for a 17 year old
The car is clean but the carpet is shot !
still have it?
who bought it ? are u here ?
I have a 1978 Cadillac coupe deville same colors as the one above. has been siting in my grandmas garage for 20 years only has 28,000 miles on it its in mint condition was wondering how much something like this would go for?
My Coupe DeVille has a similar story like your Coupe DeVille. I got away with mine for $8,000 but I know it's worth more than that.
I wanna buy a car from this guy
Is this car available dor sale?
I have a 79 Coupe as well and I can not find a passenger door mirror to save my life. Can you help?
Tay DeVille this is three years old but have you tried LKQ.com?
Are these things expensive to maintain? Are they reliable? I'm looking at a 1979 cadillac coupe Deville going for $900 on craigslist with 87,000 miles on it.

My uncle paid $10,000 in 78. $30-40 thousand one year difference. lol
@CerealMarshmallows
Lol Nathan your funny.
@YoungOldSchoolRapper
I want a black coupe DeVille. lol
“Everything’s tight” - except what your wallet had to be, in order to afford one of these, back in the day!
He was also a retired steel worker and he was not catholic.
this car is from goodfellas!
Lol you called it clean like 80 times look at the carpet again. And there's duct tape on the steering column.
Not even in 79 it was worth 40k if you paid that you got it without Vaseline bro what are you talking about and I've had caddy's also 12 to 13k no more than that new
duck tape around a steering column....sounds like a theft recovery car lol
i have a triple yellow one with an actual 15k miles it was expensive but with a set of monroe shocks sensormatics it drives awsome i found it ay a kansas chevrolet dealer, and i got it delivered so nice to have a great car, all these have the special zink bodies and they dont rust out near as bad as the big 76 bodies did.
One classy Bishop! Funny how Catholicism and Cadillacs seem to go together...
Keep it in its original form...PLEASE!
@YoungOldSchoolRapper
Lol no, I think Caddy's should be black. Just a personal preference. I love black cars. =)
Lol all cars leaked back then.
he sad 20-30 thousand new LOL 18-20 thousand new
probably back in the day from the dealer he was talking abt
He said his dad paid $35-$40,000 new for one of these cars at 0:27? I think his poor dad was taken BIG time. These msrp'd in the $18-$19,000 range
Coupydog not even that high. Base price was $11,728.
Ah yes, now that I think about it, you're right. Their pricing was on par with the Corvette of that day.
Own a 79 CDV myself, & I have the original window sticker, & it just fell under $14k.
If he were a Catholic Bishop, the Cadillac would have been molested years ago. This car is clearly unmolested. LOL :)
de elegence never came with leather seats
brand new they were $18000.00 tops, more like $14000. $15000.
If it has scratches and damage, it's not mint.
@YoungOldSchoolRapper
Nah no video, I'll save the embarrassment. lol
I like the 76 coupe more
@YoungOldSchoolRapper
Lol nah I'm too poor to afford anything good. lolz
are you at the zoo?? I hear wild birds
Sorry coupe de ville
I'd be so embarrassed driving around in this thing.hideous .
Why it's a classic
+divaofco A classic bananna.imagine one of these things on your drive or at the traffic lights.people would be laughing their heads off.
I personally don't care what anyone thinks. If they aren't paying your bills or able to get money off this classic ride then it doesn't matter.
+divaofco good on you buddy.the world needs more people like you who dont mind being laughed at.humor is a wonderful thing.take it easy.and enjoy that old tank of yours.

i have the same car same color with 14k miles on it got it with 9800 so i know it never rolled over,
paid a nice $10,500.00 for it delivered all the way from kansas to my door.
