Heya Raven - I'd like to just leave some personal thoughts & totally minor experiences. I've started to use a Chome extension plus windows software named GRAMMERLY which helps with writing, paragraphs, etc so I can write my stories in the future. Growing up with dyslexia & not been diagnosed meant it was easier for me to mess about in school & be put out of class. Anyways, my views on ghosts are as follows. I am Catholic. Of all Christian churches history, which I teach, and archeology shows the oldest Christian Church to be the Catholic Church with the Eastern Orthodox breaking away in 1054 & Luther in the 1600s. From Luther 54 thousand separate protestant denominations came from that one because each time two pastors disagreed they simply split, starting a new Church. Both the Catholic Church & Eastern orthodox have had a lot of incredible meetings over the past 150 years & are now 99.9% back in full communion & all the bigger issues are dealt with so its now just a matter of ironing out the smaller kinks & we'll be fully in communion. The same goes with the Anglican Church so as a Roman Catholic we can celebrate Mass & have Holy communion in their Church plus their clergy or ours can celebrate Mass in each other's Church - This means that all the eastern churches under the eastern rite, like the Russian Orthodox, The Caldene & others have also come back together again with us so it's really exciting & SUPER EXCITING & BEAUTIFUL to visit the eastern Churches & even though we don't understand the language we can go along with the Mass just like different languages singing the national Anthem, ye know. we have 2 Million members who have the dame Bible from 394AD. We have the same belief too, one that plays a huge role in our faith is our belief in the saints who know all that we do, who have come to people in scripture & in recent years. Call them ghosts/spirits, whatever, it's a very new belief that people doubted them. Even, I believe it eas Lincoln, cast out an evil spirit so its not only recent years but its also an American thing that ghosts are in doubt among a small number. Small in comparison to those who do believe. What is obvious, if we look at this logically, is that American Protestantism is a little over 100 years old, whereas documents have been recovered & the originals can be found in the amazing Bible museum in Washington DC & tons of documents speaking on paranormal activity with both Demonic & human spirits. Even in recent times Father Peyton in the U.S. & Padre Pio in Italy plus many more both wrote about & spoke outright of the souls of the dead coming to them seeking their prayers. But 2 things I find funny is how a lot of Catholics, who believe that just like in the scriptures, when a person dies they are not dead & that the Church is made up of, well something like 3 groups which is those of us on heart, those in Heaven & others who died with some issues like maybe anger issues, jealousy, hatred, some negative emotions or may be attached to their home, their money, their children & they need to let go off these issues or be purged of them [we call it purgatory] & non-Catholic Christians will describe it the same way but won't use the word purgatory. They will say "lost spirits" but I don't see any difference between the two, except for the names given to the situations. We pray for the souls of the dead & ask God to bring them to Heaven, forgive them their errors. We ask for our friends on FaceBook to pray for our sick child or mom who is having surgery, Despite what non-Catholics "falsely believe," we do not pray to the dead. We, just like most people who lost a loved one, ask those dead ones to help us out & to pray with us & for us, for example, I asked my grandma to pray for my mom who was going thru a real tough time & things got better within days for mom. We all have the same ideas, we're even getting the same results, we just take a different route - God Bless my fellow Christians & non-believers. Aint we all just trying to get thru this thing? And I believe we'll meet up with our loved ones again & sadly if it happens to be s situation in which one of us is going upstairs & one downstairs, it won't be like we weren't warned.
