I don't think there's ever been a pro game that's gone down like that.
The one famous game with Ghosts that I remember were the ones were Boxer locked down Carriers. But never have I seen corsairs vs. ghosts.

Corsairs (and Queens) are not used because they are weak or costly, but because they eat up your supply when doing basically nothing.
I wonder if for example supply cap weas increased (even using team melee for example) would meta change.
that's wrong. max supply generally isn't a huge issue in brood war, this isn't starcraft 2.
waiting for mana for mediocre spells is the issue, why wait for 150 mana for spawn broodling when psi storm is way stronger and 75, or defiler plague and dark swarm can be cast for a few lings
sorry artosis you forgot that corsairs can get a +50 energy upgrade, so they can cast 2 webs if fully charged

I often wondered why they never use it, but now that I've seen it in action, It seems obvious to me.
125 mana is way too much for 15.12 seconds of a mediocre AOE spell.
And corsairs are as expensive as a tank... for an otherwise useless unit. Can they kill anything more than overlords / Mutalisks ?
I think the spell would need a serious buff to come back in the meta. Probably a few seconds duration AND a cost reduction.

Because DTs still have weight to them and don't float and mines are proximity based.
