    That’s gotta be the quietest running diesel I’ve heard on equipment. Lol 😂

    Thanks for the nice walk around! I build and convert 1/16 scale construction equipment and I am about to start on a screen and sorting plant. This helps me a lot!

    Those roller crushers have been around crushing sand and gravel for a super long time , welding them drums back up to size takes a really lot of welding rods

      It's a jaw Crusher feeding into a screening plant. Inside the screening plant are different sized screens top and bottom deck which sort out the different size Rock 1 inch minus 3/4 minus whatever the customer is trying to process. We have new screening plants called gladiators that look just like that but our production seems to be way higher. That job was moving super slow and the feeder didn't even really seem to be doing much. The feeder is the part where the machine was loading in the product feeding into the jaw.

    • @rambo38505
      @rambo38505  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We usually only run it as fast as it's needed for it to keep up with our feed. I guess our mind set is the less times a day it goes around the longer the bearings will last that's all...

    This might be a new style of crushing but I been around a lot Jaw Crushers and every one of them crush on the down stroke Because it helps pull the rock down the crushing chamber. I’m pretty sure that crusher is running backwards sir.
    Please educate me. You probably know something that I don’t.

    is there a reason behind having that primary jaw running in reverse ? i was always under the belief that on a single toggle jaw its better to have the shaft rotating towards the fixed jaw because it helps to draw the rock down into it

    • @rambo38505
      @rambo38505  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Alex Hartman the reason we had it running in Reverse was we seem to have better luck with it pushing the rock up when there was Rock jams we don't always running in Reverse though

      Rollers? If you're trying to produce and a cone crusher will be your best bet. Close the cone Gap crank up the pressure you can damn near produce sand.

    I feel like a cone would eliminate the secondary jaw/rolls. I worked at a sand and gravel plant we ran El-jay cones and there were times it would eat 8" rock consistantly. I have also seen an arm with the start-stop switch where the driver doesn't have to get out of his truck.

    • @rambo38505
      @rambo38505  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's a lot of reasons we chose not to go with a cone we can Crush 12in Rock with just the jaw and roll plant most of time we do not run a primary in front of the main plant. A lot of our jobs require us to crush at least 10 inch Rock if we use the cone we would have to run a primary in front of it all the time the Jaw roll is just a better fit for us. As for the truck driver we all have Wireless remotes for everybody that can run everything from every belt on the crusher as well as the surge bin So the truck drivers can be fat and lazy. ;)

      @@rambo38505 I know alot depends on what part of the country people are, it looks like rolls are more popular in the midwest then in the west. I ran a roll and the production was so bad I had to keep starting and stoping the feeder on the jaw cus the rolls were to small. The jaw was a 30x42 and the cone was a 45" El-Jay. I think the roll was only like 16" wide.

    Those grizzly bars are worn down pretty good. Pretty dirty looking material, but looked like it wasn’t plugging any chutes up, so that’s a good deal.

    • @rambo38505

      The grizzly bars are hay spears that farmers use for picking up bales of hay we replaced the grizzly bars with them and they work so much better flexible surprisingly very tough and The Rock's don't stick in them nearly as bad as the normal Grizzly bars did

    Nice setup but didn't see the diesel refinery because that Cat would suck the fuel. And those were the slowest jaw crushers I've ever seen.

    • @BrandonHagedorn
      @BrandonHagedorn 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Lewie McNeely We got rid of that noisy thing, got an Isuzu one not that is surprising not much more fuel efficient.

    • @lewiemcneely9143
      @lewiemcneely9143 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Diesel is diesel and it sure takes it to bust a rock. They started out here with an old Cat powerplant and then finally got 3-phase electric. I don't even want to think how much the electric bill is a month and they're on a demand metering system which means they can't even fire up till 9 a.m.

    • @BrandonHagedorn
      @BrandonHagedorn 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, that would suck, in what state?

    • @lewiemcneely9143
      @lewiemcneely9143 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brandon Hagedorn It's a site cheaper than a power plant that would pull that plant. We'd run 92K +or_ tons every 2 weeks as regular as a clock ticking. Google LBM Industries and take a look around. That's where I was since the start of it off and on. And the demand rate is cheaper. But now with our economy boom (yeah right) they shut down for months at a time.

    • @BrandonHagedorn
      @BrandonHagedorn 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Lewie McNeely Wish we could be on the grid! Not really feasible with our 7-12 moves a summer, not to mention we sometimes we are out in the middle of a corn field crushing!
