  • This was a mod i did on my sc300. I wanted an oem Alternator with the new hairpin style stator, and the oval 2jz plug... SC430 Alt. is it. Im running: A walbro 450, is300 fans, Heater,defroster,wipers and voltage sits at 14v at idle... Good enough for me.
    Alternator puts out 65A at SC430's idle... My idle is around 950 so its a bit higher which bumps up the amperage a bit.

    Did you do the fuel pump bypass mod? Will it gives more of a consistent voltage without/with fuel pump bypass?

    It uses the same exact plug as the existing 2jz plug? Not requiring a re pin?

      Correct plug does not need repinned. I'm still using this alternator today... Great alternator. 14v almost all the time.

    Hey how did the bottom bracket work,where the bottom bolt is?..does stay the same or you took it off?

    • @BoostedLexus
      @BoostedLexus  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The bottom alternator mounting bolt is still on, I bolted the bottom and top bolt just like the OEM alternator mounts... Upper mounting on the new alternator needs grinded down a bit and and the middle mounting gets cut off (not used)

      @@juantoolsdowork421 Yeah, I thought about using the 4pin 150amp alternator, but got a good deal on this one brand new and plug and play... Deal. Lol

    Did you swap the pulleys ? I notice the 2jz pulley is bigger than the sc430 one

    • @BoostedLexus
      @BoostedLexus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not, I kept the OEM one from the sc430. I didn't notice any weird charging or issues in high RPMs

    I'm trying to do the gauge upgrade too on my 2jz but I'm a bit confused with the headlight cable relocation. What exactly did you do? I'm following the supra forums 4G wire upgrade to the alternator post and I've hit a wall. Can you please help?
    Thank you.

    What year sc430 did you use for the alternator?

      @@BoostedLexus sweet man thanks, just ordered mines. My stock alt in my supra can't even handle the ac on full blast with the low beam headlights and fogs on.

      @@jimmy396jimmy this will work good for you, at idle it produces about 50 to 60 amps... I have is300 fans and they come on, with heater, sound system, fuel pumps on, and I see 14.2 volts... She still running in the car today.
